The place was clean, staff was friendly. The prices were reasonable. The food was delicious. What more could you ask for.
The waitress was apologetic that they don't do ribs on Thursday but it didn't matter! This was amazing comfort food. Sandwiches, cole slaw, fries, tea and four rounds of hushpuppies . . . for under $10 . . . for 4 people. Total. That's right. 4 people ate a good and filling pork dinner for a *total* of $9.35. That's... More
I have to say when we pulled up we were a little surprised at the outside of this restaurant but figured we'd give it a try. Glad we did! Food was great! We both got the combo platter with chicken and bbq. I got the slaw and fries and my husband opted for potato salad. All the sides were great.... More
North Carolina is known for its BBQ. In my opinion the NC style is my favorite. I was surprised when I tasted my first bite of White Swan this was the best of the best! White Swan isn't much to look at. It's a modest building that is more kitchen than restaurant. I had pork and my sides were Brunswick... More
Treated to piping-hot hush puppies after being seated; then, instantly disappointed to discover that WS was out of their signature St. Louis ribs well before closing time, I ordered Brunswick Stew, BBQ/Fried Chicken combo, collards, slaw and sweet tea. Surrounded by the friendliest customers (many of whom had just witnessed the reenactment of the Battle of Bentonville), we talked about... More
Lots of places in the area offer bbq, but this is the best! Have never been a big fan of eastern style; maybe because I've been getting it from the wrong places. Simply delicious! Friendly staff & customers make your visit a pleasure. Perfectly sweetened tea, mouth-watering hush puppy's, fresh pork skins, all in a cozy, downhome atmosphere. Highly recommend... More
My wife and I stopped in Smithfield for the night and being BBQ nuts we were both looking forward to trying North Carolina BBQ Ribs with vinegar based BBQ sauce. The White Swan was chosen because of their Trip Advisor reviews. To say the least we were not disappointed with our fall off the bone ribs that were served with... More

But we had their pulled pork sandwiches which were generous and delicious, they came with great hush puppies and we ordered a side of very good potato salad and sweet tea. The... More
Great eastern NC BBQ. The staff is friendly once you warm them up a bit, lol. Fast service. Great sweet tea, pound cake and bbq. I definitely recommend!
