I have eaten bar b q from all around and I know there are many different styles and ways to prepare. However, Smithfield's ranks high and is among my favorites. All pure meat, never fatty, the chicken is great, and the portions are far from skimpy. If you like good ol pork skins.... you got to try a bag, they... More

I stopped at Smithfields while in Siler City for lunch and had a good meal. The staff is very friendly. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to your table and come by and refill your drink. The tea was excellent and I had the shrimp and BBQ. The BBQ has a vinegar based sauce which... Despite living in GA for the last 30 years, I still yearn for NC style BBQ and was able to satisfy my urge during a recent visit. Their sandwich is heaven on a bun with lean pit cooked pulled pork complemented with tasty slaw and topped off with their delicious vinegar sauce. It couldn't of been any better unless it... More

Not from NC, so wasn't really impressed. If you like vinegar and consider that BBQ, it is fairly decent. I would stick to the pulled pork.

Hats off to you for having Mileena on your staff. Sweet girl, does a great job! She told me she also makes the sweet tea and I have to say she does a superb job with that as well. Keep up the good work, Mileena!

Way too much vinagar in the BBQ. Chicken is awesome but need more selection of sides to accompany the chicken. Banana pudding is the best!

This type of Barbeque (vinegar base) is the type of barbeque that I was raised on. Southern style (pig picking) open pit where you pick the meat you want straight off the bone,, WOW,, those where the good ole days,, miss them tremendously,, can not fine this in Florida,, Excellent menu with fried chicken,, Family restaurant,, very clean,, Barbeque sandwich... This is part of a chain which gives an opportunity to try "real eastern NC barbecue". The fried chicken is super. The prices are fair and the portions great. Service and attitude of the staff make for a pleasant dining experience.
