It always a challenge with a wife with gluten allergies. While they had no specific menu for it, they fixed a grilled shrimp dish for my wife that she absolutely loved. I just had spaghetti with sausage and it was equally as good.

Angelo's is a throw back restaurant, think Italian restaurants in "The Godfather" series. A bit heavy on the sauce but well prepared and filling. The eggplant with pasta that I dined on for lunch was very good, but again, very filling. There is a relatively wide selection of Italian wines, served conveniently in bottles, half and surprisingly one quarter carafes.... More

We're from the Philadelphia area so we know good pizza as well as what they should cost. It is quite possible that this really is the best pizza in town but it is still far lacking from what one would find in the 'pizza havens' of NY, Trenton and Philadelphia in all ways other than the price. It's an upscale... More

My wife and I ate at Angelo's while visiting nearby Holden Beach. It is tucked into a strip mall in a string of four ethnic restaurants all in a row. I enjoyed the Pescatore Pizza which was thin crust with baby clams, shrimp, garlic, olive oil, cheese and added on mushrooms. It was delicious. My small provided me with four... More

Every time I eat at Angelos, my experience is one of superb service and excellent food. I have eaten there since 2005 and never been disappointed! You can be sure of a great salad, a great entree, a great pizza, great wines, etc.

We loved Angelos the first time we ate there! Spencer, one of the servers was so knowledgeable about the wines and suggested the perfect merlot to go with my dinner choice. The wood fired pizza oven is right next to the dining room so you can see the dough twirling in the air as you sip your wine. Crab soup... More

This was by far our groups favorite restaurant for the week! Solid fives from every person. The calamari and Mussels appetizer was cooked PERFECTLY! Stromboli was well worth the price. Pizzas had a great aroma and tasted just as good. Finally the strombolis were large at a low price. The she-crab soup was great as well. Our server was professional... More

We went because we saw they had wood fire pizza. We arrived to find a complete Italian restaurant. A very extensive menu and a large wine list. We had the marghareta pizza and cheesy breadsticks. Both were outstanding. The fresh Roma tomatoes and mozzarella and fresh basil were all wonderful in our pie. Very well pleased with both food and... More

This restaurant is a diamond in the rough! In a strip mall in a town of fast food, this restaurant is a welcome oasis of Italian dining. Very good authentic brick oven pizza and several authentic pasta and specialty dinners available. A large wine selection available. Prices are very reasonable.

We were given a $10 gift card for this restaurant and based on other reviews on TA, we tried it. The food was outstanding - I mean maybe the best Italian meal we've had in years. The service was attentive and friendly. By the time we had been there 10 minutes, my wife was saying, "We are coming again. Try... More
