Great place in a great town. Fantastic burboun selection and cozy. Love the shrimp and grits and the place never disappoints.

Grossly overpriced for quality and/or quantity..did the top fall off the salt shaker? You would be wise to make a bread selection other than Texas Toast for a $14 sandwich. Perhaps the host and wait staff could find another place for extended chittychat rather than beside a patron's table.Truly SMALL portions for vegetable sides.

I recently went to a group party held on the 2nd floor. The dinner was served as a buffet. I sampled everything, naturally. The chicken was good but the shrimp & grits were awsome! The atmosphere was not quite what it could have been. Seating was inadequate in the lounge area and the bathroom (men's) had two different latches that... More

We ate here before attending a play at the Temple theater in Sanford. Several of us ordered the "Incredibly large pork chop" which is the name of this on the menu. Everyone raved about the pork chop. When they brought the pork chops out they looked as though the chef had burned them. Fortunately though, looks were deceiving. The chops... More

unassuming façade on the restaurant hides a beautiful little gem inside. Gourmet cooking in Sanford NC. excellent food, friendly staff, and innovative drinks. A very nice place to stop before the theatre.

I recommend the Steele Pig to everyone because it's often quite good and has never been bad which is saying a lot. Like every restaurant in this area, some nights are better than others. I'm not sure why there is so much inconsistency in rural NC, but there is, so when I find a place that hits the mark most... More

This past summer I worked in the Sanford area for several weeks and ended up dining at this restaurant every Wednesday -- the food, the menus (both the food and beverage), as well as the service was excellent and kept me coming back for more. I eventually worked my way through both the entree and special drink menus and enjoyed... More

Finally! Last night we were able to have dinner at The Steele Pig! We moved to the Carolina Lakes area several months ago, we have been trying to check it out as it is one of the only restaurants nearby with a 5 star rating. It is located in downtown Sanford with on street parking. Dress is casual – I... More

We had dinner here for the first time, and the food was preety good, service was good. The price was a little high, but it was ok. We did not have to have a reservation, but were asked if we did. We dressed casual. The place was not to busy, we werenot pleased that we had already been seated and... More

Great food especially the meat. The ambiance is also lovely considering that it is is downtown Sanford. Delicious food portions are enough, not too little and not too much.
