Visited this place during our September trip to Indian Beach. . The seafood was fresh local seafood. Everything was seasoned to perfection! The price was appropriate for the value of the food. Great place to go.

We had never eaten here before and we were VERY impressed. Not too fancy but very nice. I ordered the fried lobster which I had never had anywhere before. It was fantastic! My wife had the crab and lobster stuffed bell pepper and loved it! Nice view of the sound!

Port of Call , formerly Whiddens Landing should close their doors if my experience is typical. We arrived fairly early and were seated on chairs that were likely aquired from the people who brought us the Spainish Inquisition...The viw of the Bogue Sound was very nice and we enjoyed it for an extended period while we waited for our wait... My daughters and I have come to the Crystal Coast for 30+ years and this time we decided to try Port Of Call Restaurant in Salter Path, after passing it several times. After dining there, we felt it would rate on our B list. First of, I must say that the food we had was excellent. Also, the view was... More

But we did for this place! We ate here twice during our week vacation, going back to celebrate my mothers birthday after a great meal days prior. The ribeye was amazing as was the shrimpwrecked meal and margarita shrimp special. The cheesecake desserts are made fresh by a local woman- the peanut butter cup being one of the best I've... More

The menu is a little limited. As always, the seafood was pricey but the portions were adequate. The service was great and we enjoyed the atmosphere and view of the sound. I would recommend this restaurant, especially if you want to avoid the long wait times at other restaurants in the area.

Very disappointing. Decided on Port after Crab Shack was too crowded. Able to get right in. Not a very big place. Nice casual atmosphere tho. Waitress came right over and took our order. She did a good job. Kinda felt hurried by her tho when ordering. We asked for a few minutes and it seemed like 30 seconds later she... More

Friday night and we needed a restaurant for three people. Called and were able to get call ahead seating. We waited less than 5 minutes after arriving. Our waitress, Dawn, was attentive, helpful (making suggestions), and delightful. Trying to avoid others that were leaving when she was delivering food to another table she tipped her tray dropping condiments on her... More

I recently accompanied my parents to the Port of Call restaurant in Salter Path, North Carolina on August 5th and was extremely disappointed by the remarkable difference between the food and waitstaff. This restaurant needs to initiate immediate improvement in their costumer care policy, because it would be beneficial for maintaining their reputation. Working in costumer service requires a certain... More

We were very disappointed with this restaurant. The children's menu was primarily different types of fried fish and should offer some healthier options. The adult meals all lacked flavor and were nothing special. The waitress came with her order pad and asked what we wanted for dessert while I was still eating my dinner. The only desserts offered were five... More
