We had high expectations for our dinner at the Pier but were disappointed with our experience. The place looks good, the menu looks good, and it is extremely popular. But we found the service indifferent and were not overly impressed with our meals, the Madagascan beef and the barramundi. Thought it expensive, too.

This place provided what felt to us like an authentic cultural experience on a noisy, crowded saturday night. The service was satisfactory. But the food was uninspired at best. My son's barramundi fillet didn't taste fresh (he couldn't eat it) and the thai coconut sauce was something akin to sweet gluggy gravy. My gluten-free option that was supposed to have... More

Average average average. I would not bother as some others have mentioned salad bar is non excitant. For that sought of money you can do a lot better round town. They hire back packers and although friendly not having permanent staff who care about the place they work in makes all the difference in a small local town.

This is obviously a really popular restraunt and we were very lucky to get a table. It was a Friday and we didnt have a booking as we had just arrived in town. Staff were excellent. Food was good. Salad bar very limited and basic. Overall food was good.

Renovated since our last visit the bar/dining area looks fabulous. It was very busy but staff were very friendly and our food was excellent. Loved the atmosphere and the view of the beautiful Esperance Bay.

Best pub food i have tasted - better standard than many "restaurants" I have been to. Chicken baconique was my favourite. Tables filled up fast and people were lined up ordering by 6pm. Salad bar adequate. Generous servings. Best place I have eaten at in Esperance.

Fish n chips the standout. Veggie burger the low point. Schnitzels good. Good quick service and cold beer.

Running into a couple of people from our home town was a real bonus and the Pier was an excellent venue to have a good chat, meal and drink. All four of us enjoyed our meal. Nearly every seat was taken, so it is obviously a favorite with the locals.

We lunched at the Bistro. Food was acceptable and reasonably priced. It is a large place with a nice bar area, however it is a pub, and I don't think I would like to be there in the evening due to the size of the place.
