We had a lovely meal in restaurant 1819 in Tanunda. The chickenbreast was just perfect. Great deserts. Relaxed atmosphere. Wines are expensive though.

Dined at 1918 on Saturday night for our anniversary. Beautiful old house with a relaxed feel to it. Our entrees of prawn & the beef were very nice. As was the chicken and the pork belly mains. Only disappointment was my prawn entree & pork main dishes were virtually the same Asian flavours so didn't feel like I had two... More

We dined in the garden on a wonderful warm evening. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. We all had different meals and were not disappointed. You can take your own wine and pay a small corkage fee of around $8 per bottle. Buy a bottle of their Parmesan infused olive oil, to die for.

A winner! After a great private tasting at Penfolds we were treated to a complimentary bottle of spectacular wine. We asked our knowledgeable host at Penfolds Wines, "where do we dine to match this wonderful wine!" 1918 Bistro & Grille was the perfect place! Highly recommended! A rare BYOB for a modest corkage!

We went to 1918 with friends who are locals, and it was as good as they had predicted. Excellent food, and a good selection. Our group shared a charcuterie plate for a starter and it was plenty. Mains were all well received, with my duck being very good if not spectacular. I'd noted references to the derive in other reviews,... More

On a dinner visit with my wife a friend suggested not to go 3 full courses as it could be a bit challenging. We shared a plate of warm bread which we dipped into olive oil infused with parmessan cheese. Very nice little starter. For mains I ordered the pork belly with asian salad. Quite possibly one of the best... More

Was lovely to be able to sit under the trees outside. Great service and amazing food. Would recommend the duck.

We got the recommendation from the hosts of the B&B we stayed in - it was a good one. Excellent food for a reasonable price in a nice setting!

We had dinner in 1918. It started badly, with our waitress having to come back to us, when we asked about about the specials, which she had not yet memorised. The food was fine but the service was sloppy. We asked, for example, what the apparently tuneless music was and were told that the equipment which played the music was... More
