It's worth the drive from the city alone

The Barossa is a favourite destination. This restaurant is one of its gems. Beautiful food with great service, and the accompanying local wines. A great dining experience.

The furniture was tired and could do with a massive update. The food was cooked first class. We had the fig starter followed by pork belly and Salmon... Really delicious.

Expected better choice of food, did not enjoy the duck, chicken was tuff, generally disapointed with the evening except for the waitresses who were very pleasant. You do not need a manager hovering at the bar staring at customers an waitress!!

The restaurant was very busy and noisy. The food was ok but the overall experience was lacking after all the hype we had heard.

I'll start with the positive - food was delicious and portion sizes were generous and we received lovely service. Sadly now with the negative - I thought 1918 was a fine dining restaurant but I was wrong. The menu covers felt disgusting like they needed a good clean - really should replace them. The kitchen door needs a good oil... More

Dined during lunch service with my partner, including starters, entree, Maine and desert. We sat outside, and it was lovely. Meals were of a very high standard. Really good, fresh flavours. The beetroot and vodka trout was a highlight, as was the passionfruit Brulèe. Presentation was stunning. Very colourful. Service was okay. Waited a little for drinks. But all in... More

One of the best meals we've had, from soup, entree, mains to a brilliant desert. BUT $24 for corkage! (For 2) Really? That took the shine off the evening, and the last star off this review.

Very popular and busy local restaurant. Atmosphere, service and meals were superb - topped off by the best dish I've ever had (yes, the best!) It was a Chef's special - Chargrilled Atlantic Salmon on a Fillet of Crispy Pork, topped with shaved prawns, Asian Herb salad and Yellow Bean Soy Dressing. Spectacular, I've never tasted anything like it! All... More
