Good Food

Nice restaurant for a great quiet dinning experience. It is located in the Barossa Valley and has a great wine list.

Four of us headed back to Kaesler's Kitchen (which has been closed for a number of years). We weren't disappointed. The log fire was burning so it felt nice and cosy on a autumn day. Our waitress was great and the food was superb. We all decided on the lovely chicken curry. Presentation and taste was fabulous. Chef said we... More

Please remove from list as closed 31/12/2012. Prior to that it was a great venue (lovely setting and good food and service) that I frequented.

My husband and I ate from here one day and fell in love with the food, staff and character of the buildings so we decided to have our wedding reception there. After 2 years out guests still can't stop talking about the wonderful food, especially the homemade sticky date pudding mmmmm. We regularly return for our anniversaries and anytime we... More

Held my Dad's 60th birthday dinner in the upstairs private room. Very nice food and reasonably priced. Wines were quite good on the night also.

I guess when you visit a well-known wine area you expect there to be a few high-quality winery restaurants (in Oz, Vasse Felix comes to mind, for example) but they tend to be so popular you don't necessarily expect the personal touch as well. We arrived late for lunch on a cold and grey winter weekday but Kaeslers opened the... More

Kaeslers is a wonderfully cosy, atmospheric restaurant attached to the winery of the same name. We stopped here for a late lunch on our way to Adelaide from the Flinders Ranges and had a perfect afternoon. The food was really fine and well-prepared, a real cut above the steak, pizza and yiros we'd been eating on our great road trip.... More

My wife and I lunched at Kaeslers on a wine-tasting meander around the Barossa. We wanted genuine traditional Barossa food, rich with the old-fashioned German heritage. We found it in hearty old-fashioned chicken noodle and vegetable soup and a German lunch platter, but what's with the vinegar flavoured sour gerkins?

Ensure that you try the Kangaroo when you dine at Kaeslers. We regularly dine at this restaurant and our friends from overseas always enjoy eating a bit of Skippy.
