We live 2 hours away in Adelaide and recently visited friends who own a station in Burra. As usual my one request is that we find time to go to La Pecora Nera. As we have been to this little gem on multiple occasions we always find something new to rave about. The owners are truly friendly and any little... More

We recently enjoyed our second visit to The Black Sheep and, if anything, it was better than the first. The complimentary garlic bread was delicious, the pizzas were massive and tasty (we learnt our lesson and shared this time), the atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. We decided to take a nice bottle of wine and the corkage... More

We had a group dinner at this restaurant, it is quirky, really friendly staff, has a classic old fridge to get your drinks from and then pay at the bar. Fantastic wood fired pizzas that are fresh and 10/10 every time. The antipasto we had first just kept coming - amazing, and so Italian! The owner is Italian and his... More

What a treat this was, it must have been the biggest pizza i've ever been served and it was delicious, as was the bread and the wine. Atmosphere was fantasico,, staff were very helpful, efficient and friendly. great decorations around the place as well as some interesting sculptures. I wish i lived closer to have a return visit.

This is a greast eatery and so authentic. We lunched there and the food and service were well above standard. The waitress recommended an Italian wine and that too was as she described and was top quality. Highly recommended.

This was an absolutely delicious meal but enormous. Had we known the large size of servings we amy not have ordered so much but no fear it was delicious and wonderful hosts. We did end up taking home a deal of our food which we enjoyed for the next couple of days. We were pleased with the homely and so... More

A delightful lunch stop on the way from Broken Hill to Adelaide. Modern, clean décor, interesting music and friendly, efficient service. Pizzas reminiscent of the best we had in Italy, cooked in a traditional wood-fired oven by an Italian cook. Not oily or salty, just delicious and beautifully prepared. Complimentary garlic bread was a welcome starter on a cold, rainy... More

We ordered a couple of pasta dishes which were absolutely scrumptious. The staff/owners we extremely friendly and helpful and what a great atmosphere. We would have eaten there again if we were staying longer. Maybe another time!!

I waited to order takeaway. No one served me. Local came in and was served. Lady just walked away. Disgusting. There's no other options in town for takeaway so I didn't walk out. Pizza was excellent. Just a shame the service was so disgusting!

Many thanks for your feedback about your experience on Saturday evening. It always hits deep when we don’t get it right, and in your case I have to take the responsibility for letting you down because I gave you the menu to look at when you first came in and I should have double checked that you had ordered when...
