Everything revolves around the magnificent wood-fired oven. It's Italian food as it was meant to be - fresh, vibrant & delicious - the closest you can get to dining out in Rome without traveling to Rome itself! Our ever-changing menu includes: Antipasti (cured meats, cheese, olives & other delicasies) ; Insalate (Salads) & Insalatoni (Big Salads); Pasta (both durum wheat & gluten free); Traditional Woodoven Pizza, Dolci (Sweets & Deserts); Gelati & Caffe (Coffee) Buon Appetito!

We were travelling on a coach tour and our driver recommended having lunch here. We were warmly welcomed and after checking the menu placed our order. A short time later we were served with garlic bread which was very tasty. Our pizza duly arrived - it was very big, and we ate our way through most of it . Sadly... More

Delicious pizza with excellent crust and tasty fresh ingedients. We had a takeaway but the restaurant was busy with many dining in on the cold windy night.

The mussels are amazing, lovely honest food that you could pick away at all day. The whole place is inviting and has an honest approach to function that creates its own charm. well worth the drive and by far the best part of a trip to Burra.

Great Italian home style food in large hall surrounded by art, vintage furniture and vinyl music, we dined on a family holiday. Mixed entrees honesty bar pizza pasta and desserts all lovingly prepared in front of you. Worth booking we had a great time

Our menu was a running buffet style of choice Italian style pizza, lamb, anti pasta and sweets. Can't say enough about the specialty foods and service. We just loved it and recommend it for any occasion. Good idea to book though as this very popular eatery can be heavily booked at times.

We ate here as a group in April 2015. The atmosphere of the place is great, very relaxed and chilled out. I particularly liked the self service beer and soft drink fridge. Very cool idea! The food was nice as well. I had a pizza and my partner had pasta. Nice authentic pizza. A bit unfair to comment on the... More

We loved the whole thing- our pizza was absolutely delicious and pasta authentic. The place was buzzing and very family friendly. You choose your own bottle of wine from shelves or help yourself to beer from the antique fridges . We loved the record player and record collection- which seemed identical to the one we ditched when we regrettably switched... More

La Pecora Nera is a true gem and Paolo is a wizard. The three of us all agreed that the pizza we had was the best we had ever tasted in our lives. The balance of anchovy and black olive combined with the pastry and oozing cheese. Superb!
