Better than Cafe Michele in Naples

Last year we went to Italy and were told by many that Café Michele in Naples was the best in all of Italy. We went, it was amazing and held the benchmark of the best Pizza in Italy. Till we have come to Burra...... The Pizza was to die for, the staff friendly and a great atmosphere.

Visitor to Burra and pleasantly surprised to find this authentic Italian restaurant in town. We had antipasto , pizza and salad which was too much to eat for two people. Great beers and wines also available. Worth a visit if you are in Burra.

Dinner with a group, all ordered pizzas, and when served realised should have all ordered one between two. Magnificent huge pizzas (and not much left at the end). Good wine selection and ample supply of Italian beeers to supplement the pizzas, would go here again. Service great.

Travelling from Adelaide to Arkaba Homestead, this was a great stop-over for fresh and unfussy Italian food. The pizza was so good, I can still taste it. The antipasto entree was a meal in itself. Portions are way too generous, but I kept eating beyond what I knew was good for me.

We extended our stay in Burra so we could come again. This place is amazing! Could it be the most authentic Italian in Australia? We think so. Gorgeous everything!

Ate antipasto plate and one pizza, really enjoyed our meal. Wine was one price and you can choose between Italian and Australian. Pizza was traditional Italian. Well worth a visit.

Warning - you will eat too much pizza. I did. Arguably the best pizza I have ever eaten. The wines, all I think at $35 a bottle seem to be great (we recommend Kilkanoon Shiraz). 1.2 kg heavier after that weekend!

Where do I start? The food is amazing, brilliant and I'd travel the 2 hours from home just to eat there again. We had a pizza which was served as a calzone, complimentary garlic bread and Italian hot chocolate. By the time we left we couldn't move we were so full. The restaurant has a delightful family atmosphere and we... More

I hope the people of Burra know how lucky they are. The food was great the service was excellent. I travelled 120km from Port Pirie and wasn’t disappointed! Started with caprese and crusty bread. I had an entree of beautifully presented fresh muscles, these were superb with a glass of, delicately fragrant, Italian pinot grigio. The wine choice is limited... More

We dined exceptionally well with great service. If you visit Burra this is a definite 'must' for the pizza lovers. Truly authentic and service with a smile from all the staff. BYO although they also have an assortment of fine Italian wines. It was so good we had one of each!
