Great wines - didn't eat but will next time

First of seventeen wineries over 4 days in the Barossa and Adelaide Hills and one of the best. Generous tasting sizes, friendly and helpful staff in a nice environment. not crowded when we went probably helped. Joined their No 1 club as discounts on future purchases seemed better than most for very... read more

We recently visited here as the first stop on a wine tour. Natasha, who looked after us was exceptional. She has a contagious passion for the wine and quickly won us over. I recommend this cellar door to anyone visiting the Barossa.

Only a few years ago I visited Saltram's in Angaston and have recommended what i thought had been a wonderful experience ever since. I was excited to be going back. This time around I was on a bus tour travelling the Borossa. We arrived at Saltrams and I was quite excited. Unfortunately what we got was a dismal experience to... More

Absolutely fantastic, helpful friendly knowledgeable staff; in both wine tasting and restaurant. Food incredible, could not fault. Such a great experience.

Thank god there was a sign out the front advertising "Underground Tours". We drove in and found that the wines we tasted were well worth it! Coreen was a very funny and knowledgeable host. We made out selections and headed of for a tour of the underground cellars! Interesting stories, Coreen told us about her ghost experiences, which really added... More

The winery is excellent, staff are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their wines. Bought some fantastic wine glasses! Food was a little disappointing, but found the places we went to in the Barossa to be lacking in gluten free choices, unless you want steak, no sauce, fish, no sauce, no proper sides, or pizza. Whats wrong with wanting a nice... More

As a frequent visitor to the Barossa, I've had quite a few visits to Saltrams for wine tastings as well as for lunch, and have enjoyed it on every visit. Great pizzas and desserts, and some really attentive staff. I've especially enjoyed the wine tastings, and found the staff to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

The wines are wonderful but I must say I was expecting more of the food. I had the salmon which was lukewarm at best and the potato served with it seemed like it was days old. It was a fairly cool day and there were only a handful of people eating there so maybe I just picked a bad day.... More

We tasted some wines at the cellar door but as he driver I stopped way before my partner. then I spotted these amazing deserts in a display cabinet , they where so beautiful and unusual. I tried the chocolate hazelnut one - it was available to eat in with coffee or take away. Delicious! There where no seats left in... More

The wine at Saltrams stands on it's own merit, but when paired with their food it is a wonderful experience. Very knowledgable and friendly staff. Lovely roses in the grounds. What more do you need?
