Go for a drink and the fab location

The food was average at best. It is certainly basic pub grub with the fish and chips, for example, below standard. There was more batter than fish. On a table of six, one meal was forgotten and the only one that didn't require cooking - a Caesar salad. We were told it would be brought to the tsble... read more

Beautiful view and friendly staff. The food was average.....it took a while to come out considering it wasn't very busy. We go mainly for the atmosphere and nothing beats that view!

The straddie pub is iconic to the island, everyone should visit just for the view and have a beer. The food is very average and overpriced, there are certainly other places on the island that are better. Maybe the steak night is better value. Will not eat there again but certainly will always visit for the the view and a... More

During our trip to North Stradbroke Island we stopped for lunch at the Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel. The location is fabulous, ocean views with direct access to Rock Walk and Cylinder Beach, a good swimming beach. The hotel advertises bistro food, unfortunately it's more like school cafeteria standard, typical pub grub but not done that well. Although the menu's not... More

Even so it was raining and overcast on the day of our visit, the view was still very good. Meals were served quickly. They had ran out of oysters, so for our seafood tasting plate they added more prawns (4 in total). To be honest, my husband and I should have got 2 tasting plates for our meal, rather than... More

We visited here twice on our holiday, we booked for the second night not having had our first meal which was a mistake. It has a great view and was close to our accommodation - the only reason we returned. The food is average to below average, we had some oysters which three of us agreed tasted bad. The prices... We've eaten here a few times and while it isn't the most exciting food to be found on the island it is pretty reliable and there is s great view down to the beach.

The hotel is right on the cliff of point lookout. Overlooking cylinder beach and has steps to go down to the beach for a lovely walk after breakfast or lunch or dinner. Sunset on the rocks down below is beautiful. The food is great, plenty of gluten free and vegan dishes also. Large servings. Children under 18 are not allowed... More

The hotel is very modern with north facing views to Moreton Island. The whole place has a lovely and relaxing feel with awesome views thrown in. The meals are large and reasonably priced I enjoyed my calamari with chips and salad while my husband had the seafood basket. The Stradboke Island Hotel provided us with an enjoyable luncheon experience.
