The Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel is walking distance to all areas at Point Lookout. Have a meal and a drink and walk home .. always be aware of our wildlife on Stradbroke Island keep them safe.

My friends and I visited the hotel bistro for dinner late december and were very happy with the friendliness of staff and the service that they provided. We were initially very hesitant to go after reading previous reviews on this site, however we were very pleasantly surprised. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very busy, yet helpful girl who... We ate here because friends were staying. The menu was pretty uninspiring but edible, Friends were surprised not to find a burger option, considering it's a bistro, and as a vego I wasn't that into anything on the menu. The views are great, but we much preferred cooking for ourselves in our unit or eating elsewhere on the island. We... More

As others have said this place has poor service. Tonight the bar manager couldn't fill an order for four drinks, gave me a lecture and told me he'd "had enough of people like me". Nice

Unfortunately the best thing about the Bistro at the Stradbroke Island Hotel is the view. We have been coming here for years and unfortunately it has not improved. You would think that on an island which has it's own oyster farms and trawlers that go out nightly you would get fresh seafood at it's only pub. The food is basic... More

Have been coming to Straddie for 25 years and a beer at the pub has always been a must do!! The food is a little pricey but is now worth it. ( I think it has taken them a couple of years to get a great chef and work out the meals and pricing) my only complaint is they should... More

This restaurant charges 15% extra on public holidays and has less staff than normal days?? We had breakfast a year ago today and guess what it still serves terrible food and cold coffee.

We visited here for dinner on our recent holiday, however waited well over an hour for our meals and when they did eventually arrive, the serving portions were very small for the above average prices we paid and we left hungry. Food was just ok, nothing spectacular, we wouldn't return here again.

North Stradbroke island is a magic place to while away a full day trip or stay at your leisure, dragged friends along with us this time and stayed at the Cylinder Beach Hotel to have lunch after a full hour walk. We caught the ferry over (taxi) (its cheaper for pensioners) and then hopped on a bus for the tour... More

Was expecting a wow dish, ordered the twice cooked pork belly, it arrived and i was disappointed - the crackle was rubbery and had not been crisped up. Although they did cook it, it was annoying as by the time it arrived everyone else had finished eating
