Having craved pancakes for a few mornings we found this place and it was very busy. Picked up a table and ordered at the counter and coffees was served quick. Coffee was good and well above average but not exquisite. Pancake options were good and the Canadian pancake breakfast was exactly what we were chasing. Pricing was decent and meals... More

Went to Fishes for steak night. Got a burned steak on the outside that was rare on the inside. Didn't finish it, and when the waitress came to clear the plate, we politely said it had not been cooked properly. She went back into the kitchen and the chef said he would put it back on the grill to cook... More

The best fish and chips on Straddie. The staff are well presented and extremely professional, it's obvious that they love their place of work. A great taste of music to listen to whilst you wait for your delicious meal/coffee. My husband and I only return to places where there's quality service. We went there three times in our weeks stay... More

Most fish was sold out so asked if the snapper was Australian. It was but what they failed to mention that it was old, yellow and going to taste like a rubber thong. The squid was chewy but edible, the chips soggy. The worst bit was the price... I don't mind paying for quality, but if I feed my cat... More

We covered fish lovers and vegetarians. All were pretty happy. As always would like to see some non fried options but a lovely place to have dinner (especially after doing the Gorge Walk).

We had a coffee here on Boxing Day, so it was busy though hardly bursting at the seams. And there were plenty of staff on hand. Big mistake was asking for a sit-in coffee rather than takeaway. Bad move, as it looked like that the takeaway-coffee orders were dispensed in a separate line and much, much quicker. We took a... More

Not happy. $48 for a seafood basket for 2, which was reasonable but the service was terrible. Glad we got take away because they seemed so unorganized and mixed up orders for others in the line ahead of me. I waited for ages in the takeaway pickup line to not even be acknowledged I was there, so lined up in... More
