Bowels club with attentive staff but the level of food wasn't to our expectation. Tasty but what we would call average pub meal

We ate at the Sports Club on our first night in Rainbow Beach, and it was not a meal I would recommend. Our party of four found the food to be typical of second rate pub food - rather stodgy, greasy and dull. The meals were based on quantity rather than quality.

We ate here in a large group and were not disappointed. The lunch menu offered something for everyone. We opted to share a seafood pizza that was delicious. Others chose wraps ( generous serves with heaps of chips)and Thai salad ( apparently quite hot) Service was fairly quick and meals were reasonably priced.

We went on a Sunday and was looking for a roast dinner. Well we found it at the Club, they had a special of $15 roast choice of two beef or pork. We were not expecting much, but we were pleasantly surprised. Two large roast dinners came out with all the trimmings and lots of meat and accompanied by apple... More

Holidaying at Rainbow Beach on the weekend with mates, we decided to go to the Sports Bar on Saturday and watch the NRL and have a punt on the races. We set ourselves up in the Sports section, in front of all the necessary screens, when suddenly the TV we were watching suddenly broke, AFL was on the screen. We... More

You can't stop in this town and not have a beer in this club, or stay for dinner if you have the time! we dropped in for a well earned drink after surfing out the front at Snapper and were greeted by a very friendly fella who explained what's the go. The bar man was great with the kids having... More

Have been going to this club for over 20 years when on holidays and previously enjoyed all meals and service provided. Not having been to the club in the last couple of years noticed service was not at the level previously and a noticeable increase in pricing of both drinks and meals, (this was formerly the Bowls club now Sports... We stopped at this club for lunch in February, 2015. As we were not overly hungry the polite friendly waitress suggested a selection from the daily specials board and recommended the chilli prawns dish. This meal was larger than we expected with numerous battered prawns and a generous serving of jasmine rice. It was very tasty and ample for a... More
