We had almost full course meal: antipasti delicious; then tried two types of busiate: the one with green pistacchio souce with shrimps was squisite; then fried fish, calamari amd shrimps, you could tell all is fresh made. We (a group of 14) were seated right at the entrance and good so. The osteria is quite small and very hot as... More

I am local here in Trapani and having tried most talked about restaurants/trattorias/etc, I can safely say that this is the best and most authentic cucina trapanese. Its run by a husband and wife who both come from previous food backgrounds (husband from Bernardo Panificio, wife's mom had a restaurant across the city), they really respect the fish and bring... At our trip to Trapani we ended up in San Pietro twice. You have to make a reservation for the table, otherwise the locals take it all, and maybe, just maybe, you could have a tiny seat at the second serving at 10pm. The first time you go try have the "fish dish", they bring a large dish of fresh,... More

What a find!! We came across Hostaria San Pietro whilst doing a bit of research on Tripadvisor as this was our first time in Trapani. Due to the positive reviews we decided to try it and we were not disappointed. We walked past and it was absolutely heaving despite in only being a Tuesday!! We decided to return for lunch... More

This place got full even in the middle of May, while there is still time before the high season. Definitely book ahead. If you do - you are in for an excellent treat. This is a true trattoria, family run, with great food and casual service, which cannot be more Italian :-) Antipasti are perfect, our pasta was al dente... More

Recommended by the girl of the B&B Cortile di Venere, I really enjoyed everything I ate here. The best...I think the busiati cambero rosso...

This very cosy restaurant close to the Vatican is excellent for lunch or dinner with friends and family, including children. While prices are reasonable, the food is far above the usual standard of restaurants in tourist dense areas. The service is personal and friendly, but never intrusive. The kitchen and bathroom are impeccably clean.

We are from Trapani but we live in UK, hence when we come back we want to go and have dinner to very good places, especially if they cook fish. A friend of mine suggested to go to this restaurant but since the place is really small (25-30 people tops) and we were 4 people we had to book for... More

The food was great and we liked the price also. But I have to agree that what was on the tourist's plates was a bit different from local clients. We just got less sea food then we saw on other plates. Well... I don't know how to explain this. But in general it was really tasty and the service was... More

We tried many different restaurants in Trapani - this one had the best food of them all. The place is tiny! You must make reservation well in advance. The lady gave us typical (probably out of date) menus in English but since we know that this is the worst way to order food in Italy we asked her what she... More
