We had heard a lot of rumors about the place and we went there for a late evening dinner. The restaurant had a lot of reservations, but also had a table for us. The waiters was very professianal and guided us through the menu, and came with suggestions. The Primi piatti, busiate (trapanese pasta) and spaghetti with squid ink was... More

We saw reviews on TA and gave it a try as it was close to where we were staying. Fortunately we booked as it was very busy on a Friday night. We started with salad, and then gnocchi with mushrooms and busiato with ragu of red mullet, both excellent and we would definitely recommend this restaurant.

What amazing favors. I had heard that the food of Trapani was special, but this restaurant still exceeded expectations. We shared the fish balls appetizer which came with an exquisite sauce, a wonderfully light pasta trapanese, and the most delicious swordfish cooked with tomato, raisins, and pine nuts. The house wine is good and very affordable. This is one of... More

this is a restaurant that knows the territory and clientele. They are simply professional and this guarantees the local trade from which they eventually depend. We were happy that we booked for lunch, because they turned away several tables. We were served promptly, but other customers were kept waiting, so if the service is less than perfect it is because... More

We ordered the best cous I have ever tasted, accompanied by a delicious side sauce/broth made like a fish sauce & busiate con riccola & mandorle. The pasta is a soft delicate home made pasta accompanied with fish, herbs & almonds. Both these dishes were light, delicious & fine ingredients of this region. Highly recommend this place!

There is nothing special positive or negative, very ordinary place. Food, staff and location are ok, this is a typical big restaurant for non local people

The Lonely planet bills this place as "wildly popular," and indeed the staff seem to be on chummy terms with half the clientele that come into this packed trattoria. However, the staff's friendliness did not extend to out-of-towners such as ourselves. Our waitress was inches away from rude, and all she seemed to want to do was chat with her... More

This little place slightly out of the way is the home of excellent and low prices. Their fish is superb, and they will only serve it if it is extra-fresh. Other restaurants will for instance have the famous fish couscous every Friday, regardless of fish arrival -- not here, they will only do it if there was the right type... More

I sought this restaurant out as a because of its good reviews, on my first day in Trapani. While the food was good, the service was the most inhospitable I received during my two weeks in Sicily. We went on the earlier side of lunch and the restaurant was nearly empty with just a few parties inside. Yet, when we... More

Superb (sea-)food. Nice setting. Little bit hidden outside the city centre but always crowded by locals. And for good reason! Make a reservation and be in time.
