Possibly the best meal I ate in Sicily

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel manager when we asked about seafood. Great local white wine as recommended by the restaurant owner. Their caprese salad our table shared to start was absolutely superb - so simple but with incredibly fresh ingredients. The mains were generous in... read more

We went to this restaurant on the strength of TA reviews and were disappointed. We have no real complaints, everything was ok, but nothing special. Our shared starters of prawns with an orange sauce and mozzarello with tomato salad were ok although we were worried when the prawns arrived completely covered in a thick marie rose type sauce. Thankfully the... More

Based on the reviews and on the back of an outstanding dinner the previous night, we had high expectations for La Bettolaccia. Where the staff did take good care of us, the food was a repeat of standard Sicilian dishes, without any particular highlights, creativity or surprises. Overall a good address but not something to go out of your way... More

We had to wait until the second serving as we did not book ahead. But we are glad we did. It was superb!!!!! Just wonderful, go if you can.

We have been enjoying some excellent meals during our tour of Sicily but this meal....well it was exceptional. Don't even think of going here without a reservation, you'll be turned away. But everything is so full of flavour and the service is friendly and attentive. We had the smoked swordfish and caponata for starters and the sword fish with orange... More

The place is cosy and the food is fresh. On average the service is very good, especially compared to the level of service in town. Perfect balance quality/price.

Through TripAdvisor I wanted to find THE ONE restaurant for my one night in Trapani, the home of my grandparents, and settled on Osteria La Bettolaccia. We were the first ones to be seated that evening and as usual when you are alone in a restaurant you have to wonder if you have made a mistake. Service was excellent (... More

we had a great dinner here. All the food was very good, the place is nice and service is very good. Off the main streets in an alley...make sure to book as people without a reservation were being turned away...

Very personal and good service by the owner Francesco Fileccia. The busiate was the best we have tasted so far. The cous cous with seafood was very tasteful. It is a very clean and orderly place - more typical Japanese than usual Sicilian. But nice atmosphere both for our family with kids as well as couples. But the very local,... More

We`ve been twice (me and my wife) in La Bettolacia for dinner (first and last during one week stay, visited many other restaurants in Trapani). Food was very good/great (we tried 5-piece seafood apetizer, different busiate, swordfish, seabass in paper bag, squids with potatoes). Wine is also very nice in reasonable prices. We discussed how to rate and describe this... More
