There's no reason to write a review of this place if your going by and want a quick cheap bite it's ok. But you should never make a special trip. The hotdogs a a Costco store are better in fact the only places I know there worse is your local 7 -11 or other convinence store. As for service ok... More

I have been eating hot dogs here f.o.r.e.v.e.r. they are still awesome!! I plan to bring my grandchildren down to have one and see Bullocks Christmas trees...a long standing tradition that needs to carry on.

Some of the other reviews claim that these are the best burgers in the state. I don't get it. I've eaten burgers at Central Cafe for several years -- it's close to the office I visit and others want a quick meal. If it were up to me, we would not be eating here. I don't care if they serve... More

Choice of burgers or hot dogs served on waxed paper. The burgers are good but served on waxed paper! For a quick meal at a reasonable price it is ok.

You are not paying for the paper that the food is served on! The burgers have been the best for the 48 years I have been eating in Rocky Mount. I still eat there once a week. Great chili, great hamburger steak, great slaw, and really good sweet tea. Still the best cheeseburger around. If you are coming through Rocky... More

My favorite hamburger in town. The best Cokes anywhere. The shaved ice makes the drinks they serve. Great people serving and cooking.

12 years ago when I first ate here it was awesome. Great burgers and hotdogs in the traditional southern style. They brought your food out on a piece of paper and they used chip ice in drinks. Well all that's still the same but the food especially the hotdogs have lost their quality and zest.

I have been eating here since the 60's,, excellent burgers & chilly dogs,, management needs training!!,, Waitress's nice & pleasant !! Only way to really appreciate the flavor of these cheeseburgers a/w & hotdogs a/w ( definitely with chilli) is to have eaten at several other establishments that claim to have the best dogs & burgers,,

On a long drive we needed to stop for lunch, using the reviews we went here with high hopes..... goodness me, I felt like Alice down the Rabbit Hole....where we ate was clean and the servers very sweet but the food...nothing special and in fact was so mundane as to be subpar. The reviews cheering on their hot dogs did... More

Friend recommended this place as a 3rd generation restuarant that served great chili dogs. I decided to try just on rep and they did not disappoint - their chili is brown chili that looks like alot of finely ground beef on a dog, not the typical runny red stuff. I could have eaten 3 easily.
