Best local "upscale casual" restaurant in town. Not far from I-95 or Lake Gaston! Perfect local dinner spot. They also have an excellent Sunday lunch buffet that will please a crowd.

David's Restaurant is worth the trip into Roanoke Rapids if you are stopping off of I-95 and have the time to drive the few miles into Roanoke Rapids. The food is very good. The atmosphere is very nice. The service is usually very good to excellent. The cost is a little pricey. However, on Sundays they serve a very reasonably... More

This restaurant was not what I expected after reading such glowing reviews here. The menu is extensive. Portions are average. When we arrived, we were met by a woman who looked at me and saw there were only two of us, and said, "THREE??" Not sure who she saw with us!! I asked for unsweetened iced tea and our waitress... A delicious dinner each time we visit. From the Chicken Piccata to the Linguini with Clam Sauce or a Rib Eye or Salmon. Every dish is delicious and fresh. While eating we are happily entertained (if it is a Saturday night) by Mike, a fabulous sax player and Mabel the hostess always checks to make sure everything is going well.... More

This restaurant is tucked into downtown Roanoke and we almost didn't stop because everything appeared closed down, but then we saw a few cars on the street and discovered David's. Upon entering we noticed lots of old memorabilia on the walls and an abundance of magazines at a couple of tables at the entrance. Prices are reasonable for the quality... More

Great atmosphere and delicious meal at a reasonable price in downtown Roanoke Rapids. Delighted when we found this place while exploring the area. Very friendly and competent staff. Saxophone music added to the experience.

I was in NC for a family reunion last summer. We had dinner and breakfast at David's restaurant and it was fabulous. We had about 80 people and things ran very smoothy. The owner and staff are wonderful. The nicest group of folks I've met in along time. The customer service was the best I have had the pleasant to... More

A pleasant dinner stop if you are traversing I-95 can be found in Roanoke Rapids. The small downtown is vintage 50'//60's and David's is located in a brick store front with parking on the street. The clientele is locals and the decor is southern comfort with a mix of nice tables and intimate booths. The noise level is minimum and... More
