A delicious dinner each time we visit. From the Chicken Piccata to the Linguini with Clam Sauce or a Rib Eye or Salmon. Every dish is delicious and fresh. While eating we are happily entertained (if it is a Saturday night) by Mike, a fabulous sax player and Mabel the hostess always checks to make sure everything is going well.... More

This restaurant is tucked into downtown Roanoke and we almost didn't stop because everything appeared closed down, but then we saw a few cars on the street and discovered David's. Upon entering we noticed lots of old memorabilia on the walls and an abundance of magazines at a couple of tables at the entrance. Prices are reasonable for the quality... More

Great atmosphere and delicious meal at a reasonable price in downtown Roanoke Rapids. Delighted when we found this place while exploring the area. Very friendly and competent staff. Saxophone music added to the experience.

I was in NC for a family reunion last summer. We had dinner and breakfast at David's restaurant and it was fabulous. We had about 80 people and things ran very smoothy. The owner and staff are wonderful. The nicest group of folks I've met in along time. The customer service was the best I have had the pleasant to... More

A pleasant dinner stop if you are traversing I-95 can be found in Roanoke Rapids. The small downtown is vintage 50'//60's and David's is located in a brick store front with parking on the street. The clientele is locals and the decor is southern comfort with a mix of nice tables and intimate booths. The noise level is minimum and... More

Roanoke Rapids is not known as a foodie town, and 98% of the dining establishments in town are either fast food franchises or casual dining franchises. David's is a refreshing change from the franchise routine. Food is fresh, well prepared, and there is always an item or two on the menu that is creative. The atmosphere is cozy and the... More

Passing through stopped for the night. Read the reviews and just knew this was going to be the "local" restaurant we were looking for. Wrong! We went during the week and the food was awful and not fresh. Armature chef at best. Our waitress was nice, we asked for just the one meal to be comped since it was inedible.... More

Very nice restaurant, very clean and nice atmosphere. Food was very good at a decent price. The entertainment was a little too close tour table. Service was above average but not super. Good menu. We will try it again.

We were delighted by our dinner last night at David's. The service was terrific, and most attentive. The food was delicious, and the menu offered many choices. We highly recommend this charming restaurant.
