I have lived outside of Raleigh for almost two years and until last weekend used to be a favorite for sushi - but the changes over the last few months have made this place go from AMAZING to just regular sushi with high prices. Don't get me wrong, it's good sushi, you are just paying the higher prices for a... More

The sushi is beautifully prepared and always delicious. The atmosphere invites both the casual diner and those who feel like a more formal dining experience. The menu includes many Japanese dishes, but I have only had sushi.

I ordered the Bento Box expecting sushi and good fish. Instead, I got a chicken leg, four pieces of california roll, and a very small piece of salmon for my sixteen dollars. The tempura was good, the sushi mediocre, and the salmon was luke warm at best. If this is what you are looking for you may have found your... More

We went to Mura for our anniversary and were very pleased. The avocado salad was amazing as was the calamari & stuffed shrimp. We shared a sashimi platter and it was delicious. The staff were very attentive and even gave a champagne to celebrate. We'll be going back for sure and next time with a group and will get a... More

I had a chance to eat here on a recent business trip to Raleigh. We had a group of 8 and were lucky enough to get one of the more private side rooms. These rooms are insulated from the rest of the restaurant with the culturally-correct rice paper walls. The seating was also traditional, which was a source of concern... More

My husband and I have not been to Mura for several months. We decided to go back last week. We sat at the sushi bar and ordered. The wine and saki came in short order. When the sushi came, instead of wrapping the rice and fish in seaweed, it was wrapped in a thin layer of cucumber. When we asked... More

I had the seafood miso soup and the Bento box. Both were great, although couldn't finish the food in the bento box. People should be "warned" that it is a big portion that may be shared.

My wife and I celebrated my birthday on a Saturday for lunch at Mura. We both ate the Bento lunch box and enjoyed it very much. There was enough food for two and it was all excellent. The service was very good. We plan on returning and trying other entrees.

Ate here while staying at the nearby Renaissance Hotel on business. We were able to get a seat right away without a reservation about 5:30, but it was getting pretty crowded a bit later. All the food we had was excellent! Wish I could remember the name, but I had a combo-type meal with a shrimp appetizer, screaming "O" sushi... More

I had some of the best sushi in North Carolina here. The server was spot on and made sure I wanted for nothing. One of the few places in the country that serves real wasabi and it took an act of deep conviction not to order more rolls. The sushi was so fresh and the rolls I ordered were not... More
