I needed a place that could be flexible in the time we would arrive (going after graduation), the number of people and wanted the various family members that were gathering to have a good southern experience! The buffet was excellent and the service was also very good. We had 18 people and were all very pleased.

Went there today with my daughter to get out the house. Im from the Midwest and I was never allowed to eat anything out of a can, frozen veggies or proccessed meats. I got all the above here, the string beans were from a can, the greens were frozen greens, the hush puppies were frozen type and bland, the chicken... More

There is NOTHING impressive about the space...it is REALLY downscale. The neighborhood's not great. BUT the country buffet is wonderful. It's the kind of food southern country cooks have made for their families (NOT for company!) for generations. Fried foods are especially tasty (watch out for some bones in the flounder) and they know what to do with dried beans...there... More

Tried it for the first time tonight and everything was truly homecooked and traditional Southern food at it's best. The fried chicken was mouth-watering and the veggies were all fresh and seasoned to perfection! The buffet bins never got empty before they were replenishing the supply with fresh, piping hot goodness. Buffet has salad bar, hot foods with many different... More

The quality and service was excellent. I was thrilled with the dumplings and it has been 50 years since I had them as a child. The okra bought back memories and the greens were truly tastey. Simple and an excellent value.

I have always eaten inside, but the last time I was there I was in a hurry so I stopped by on my way back to the office and boy was I shocked with the takeout price per pound. I should have asked before I helped my plate. I got a piece of chicken, filled the two small sections with... More

I really enjoyed this restaurant. My family and I went for the breakfast buffet on a Saturday morning. The meats on the buffet tasted farm fresh and everything was served hot. I did not once notice an empty container. The selection of fruit was also spectacular. The buffet truly provides food for every taste.

Hands down delicious southern food. Larry's uses produce from the NC Farmer's market, slow cooking greens from the crack of dawn. Their chicken pastry is always on point, as is the fried chicken and salisbury steak.
