I finally made it to Betskis and everything was outstanding. We went on a Monday night and did not have reservations. The restaurant filled up almost completely which surprised me for a Monday. The two seater tables are very close together and we asked to sit at a 4 seat table. There is an excellent beer selection and we knew... more

Went to J Betski's this past weekend. Got there early (5:30) and had a drink at the bar, with a 6 pm dinner reservation. They have some interesting beers on tap. My hubby got a smoky dark beer that was excellent, and my Pomegranate Margarita was perfect. The restaurant filled up fast, so I'm glad we had a reservation. We... more

I don't eat meat, but I still found this to be a great restaurant. I got a beet salad with horseradish quark that was fantastic. It was larger than expected and had quite a lot of field greens as well. The waitress said it was small and convinced me to order potato and cheese pierogies also. Though the salad was... more

We went here before a show at Meymandi. The food was genuinely incredible--some of the best in the triangle. Try the beef and spinache pierogies, the scallops, and the sirloin at least! Ultimately, however, I felt the restaurant failed to live up to its potential. The tables were too small and shoved way too close together. The decor was reminiscent... more

German/Polish cuisine has been a blank spot on my culinary radar, aside from the stereotypical Octoberfest fare. Even when in Germany I had more Spanish and Turkish meals than actual German. So, I didn't know quite what to expect. But, J. Betski's has turned me in to a rabid German/Polish fan. My party sampled a number of dishes. The beef... more

Magnificent, hearty, rich, intensely flavored food. Go here hungry. I've been waiting to try this restaurant for months and I was more than satisfied with the experience. more

Only drank + apps. One wierd thing was they would not let us sit inside (group of 8) @ ~ 10 p.m. (place was NOT crowded) if we weren't going to order full meals. Thought that was strange, but the apps we had were tasty. more

Food was great! But that was it. My wife and I live around the corner had not been to J beski's yet even though we walk up to Seaboard quite frequently. We had heard that they had late night menu and we had a good friend flying in from France for two days that evening. We decided to meet around... more
