Disappointed

Went for weiner schnitzel and they only had a pork schnitzel which was a very very poor imitation. Don't know who made it, must have been a trainee. Came with very average warm German potato salad. Nice restaurant, nice service, but will not return for below average food.

I have been here numerous times since I moved to the area bout two years ago and have yet to have anything other than an excellent meal here. The food, German and Polish inspired, is always excellent, and the waitstaff seals the deal. Good for solo diners, couples, families with teenagers, or groups.

Our group all loved our meals, served attentively. Great sausage and pierogi apps- 3 for our table of 7. Venison meatball goulash, quail, hickory butternut pasta, the duck special- all amazing flavors. Loved the spaetzle on the side. Everyone tasted others' dishes. No room for dessert. Tiny place, make your reservation, go find it, and become a believer in German/polish... More

While the first impression of this place wasn't great - the room decor needs refreshing - we were completely won over by the food and service. In particular, the venison meatball was phenomenal - hearty, perfectly seasoned, with soft home-made spaetzle. Not the coolest place to eat, but well worth a visit if you're in the mood for northern European... More

We visited Betski's with family and enjoyed a nice German/Polish lunch. The food was well done both in taste and presentation. Wine and beer choices were very good as well. Though the restaurant promotes itself having German food, most of the choices were a combination of German and Polish. Our server was polite but lacked a friendliness that would make... More

Six of us shared a variety of sausages and pierogies for appetizers - very substantial and delicious. The specials were excellent and the weiner schnitzel was authentic and delicious. Finished with desserts. A great evening with an especially accommodating staff and ambiance. Well worth a visit for a German culinary experience in Raleigh.

Looking for German food we found two German restaurants in Raleigh. Betski's had a great review. Not your typical German menu. The food was very good, especially liked the caramelized Brussels sprouts but it wasn't the German food we had in our head. So I highly recommend this restaurant for the food. Very Good. But not if you are in... More

Great German food and wonderful staff. We got there a little early, so we sat at the bar until the kitchen opened. The bartender made great recommendations including a couple limited edition drinks that weren't on the menu.

Tasty German favorites in a quaint setting near Peace College and Downtown Raleigh. German beer and wine selection is very nice.

My wife and I stopped here for lunch and we both wish we had drove on by. Everything looked like it had been soaked in grease. We tried the pierogi's and they lacked any flavor, it was like chewing mush. There was nothing favorable to report about this restaurant. Parking was limited and whatever handicap spaces were assigned they were... More
