They offer different foods depending on the season. Lighter German fare in the summer and the heavier more known fares in the winter. All good. I generally don't think of German food in the summer because I have always known it to be great cold weather warm up food. The lighter fare is also good in the summer. If you... More

We walked here from our nearby B & B. The menu has some delicious Austrian/German offerings and a very unique beer menu. The beers were not the usual ones but rather ones that we might find in Europe. My husband had the foie gras stuffed bratwurst and I had a chicken stew with spatezle. Very homemade tastes. Our dessert was... More

I cannot praise this restaurant enough. Sometimes you go out for great food, sometimes for ambiance, sometimes just to be treated wonderfully and with grace. This restaurant does all these things incredibly well. The food is local and very fresh; inventive and beautifully prepared. The homemade sausages are melt-in-your-mouth delicious! You won't find better service anywhere. The wait staff are... More

The food was delicious but was not like your grandmother's cooking. It was a bit over the top with carmelized onions and ginger as a topping. It was good but over done. Make a reservation because it is crowded. I will go back.

This is a German style restaurant. They make their own sausages and mustards. The fresh and smoked sausages are out of this world. Very good wine list, decent beer selection, nice specials. Service is excellent, kind of a small place, so reservations would be advisable.

We love this restaurant. The food is modern Eastern European and reminds me of my youth and family meals. The twist is that it appeals to any taste. The service has always been excellent. The food is prepared and served in a most rewarding way but not overdone. We ordered two of the in house made kielbasa to bring to... More

Went on a chilly Saturday night. Good vibe inside. Service was excellent -- friendly and helpful. Had the white bean soup, tempura fried liverwurst salad, chicken liver and foie gras pate. Delicious.

We have been travelling to Raleigh quite freqently to work with folks at NC state so we’re getting many opportunities to try new restaurants in the area. This trip we had a chance to try J Betski’s, whose forte is German cuisine, a favorite of mine. While on the smaller side, the inside was quite cozy with great atmosphere. As... More

A friend and I decided to try this restaurant out for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. We got there as they opened on a Tuesday morning for lunch. We were promptly seated and drink orders taken. Our server asked if it was our first time there. We said yes and she explained different things on the menu. I had two... More
