Very Authentic Food

My wife and I have eaten at this establishment a few times with only praise for their food. Their Cheese and Potato Pierogies are amazing. They have a really tasty dill ceaser salad also but vegetarians make sure you watch out for the anchovies! Are friends really enjoy their sausage and brats... read more

We have been here a couple of times. I have been looking for a good German restaurant which I have not found in Raleigh. I would call this German-fusion. It is good, not great. The service is good. It is not what I wanted but you will get a tasty meal, although overpriced for what you get.

The food was excellent but the choices on the menu was disappointing. I mean no Jaeger Schnitzel? I was told it is only offered as a special, what????? The food ordered was excellent and the dessert was superb!!

This was my 4th visit here and I have never ceased to be surprised at what can only be termed superb Polish cuisine. The pierogis are as good as (or better than) my grandmother's, which is really saying something and his homemade kiełbasa is as tasty as the kind we bought at the Polish butcher shop down the block when... This is one of our favorite places to have dinner. Not a chain and very local which we really love. The food here is very fresh and the service here is excellent. Their menu changes which is also a plus so you can try different dishes.

A few dishes are excellent here, but for a German/Polish restaurant there wasn't enough ethnic food on the menu. A little too pricey. If you have a simple meal with house wine could cost you $40-$50.

Food is good---service needs to step up. The wait staff didn't seem to care whether my friend or I were there or not. The food was good.

It's been a while since I've eaten here but each time I found the entire meal wonderful. Growing up around traditional German food, J Betski's serves up surprisingly light dishes based on traditional recipes. But pace yourself or go with a group so you can sample more appetizers.

This is my favorite restaurant in Downtown Raleigh. The food is always good, been going for over 7 years and I have never been disappointed. You can eat outside or in. Try one of their cocktails and don't over look the prorogues. They are the best. I usually have the fish and it is always wonderful.
