Awesome place to go for a drink or very early light dinner. Personally, I like the social atmosphere and not having to deal with other peoples kids running wild. I have eaten there twice, however, both times the dinner was "okay" and somewhat overpriced. I would recommend Pools for the experience.

First, leave any predisposition you may have at the door: This is not your typical restaurant experience. No reservations allowed, just show up and hope there's not a long wait. No hand menus, just crane your neck and order off the chalkboards hung on the walls around you. And no online menus; the options change everyday so show up and... More

Ambiance is a 10 out of 10 and food is an 11. Everything was excellent. Duck Confit is out of this world. I would definitely come back here.

Got there early, sat at bar. The no menu/chalkboard this is cute, but seems a bit awkward to see many people getting up from their tables to be able to read it. Oyster tart was very good, beets with burrata equally so. Charred Brussels salad was very little Brussels, very little char, mostly greens. Service very good.

Creative dishes served with style. good service, but can be a long wait because it's a very small diner.Try one of their special drinks, you'll be pleased

Not inviting from the outside as it is on a recluse type street. The inside is noisy but very happy kind of noise. The wine list is loaded with good choices. There are several different plates of food offered as an entree. I am sure the choice would be good with any of them. I chose the fish which was... More

Oh my gosh - best mac n cheese EVER IN THE WORLD! And my mom makes some amazing mac n cheese so that's saying something. The wait was quite long but once you sat down the food was divine. I loved all of it. I went with my fiance and we ended up sharing everything (which was smart after seeing... More

We were seated at the first table at the front of the restaurant and it was very uncomfortable. People were hovering over our table as they waited to be seated. Plus, we were directly under the app/salads chalk board so people had to keep coming over to see the menu. At one point, I could not walk to the bathroom... More

Great dining experience and choice of eating around the bar or at table - no option to reserve but calling ahead is advisable for wait times Been multiple times and always had excellent food. Menu is varied and changes a lot - no printed menus but off the chalk board so lots of variety Wide selection of wine too :-)

We came for dinner. The noise level was so bad we had to shout to talk across the table. The food was average, with much grease and salt. I simply do not understand the hype about this restaurant. Some of my friends had similar experience and we will never go back to this restaurant.
