We swung in here for a quick bite to eat and a drink while at a conference across the street. At first the menu kind of set me back with the prices, but once I looked at the contents I quickly was ready to sit down, have a beer or two and order. They have a great beer menu, including... More

From the outside, you'd expect a different experience. I've eaten here twice and had great food and super service. The menu changes frequently. No reservations. It's a bit pricey but the food is excellent. Casual atmosphere. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

No Stars if I could, but I'm required to give them at least one for terrible". This restaurant is too Pretentious the staff (starting with the Hostess) are very snobs. All menu items including bar are way Over Priced! There are a lot better restaurants in Raleigh, please don't waste your time waiting to to get a table and don't... More

The small room is noisy. We sat at the bar and ordered a Trophy Wife. Rather than tasting like an American Pale ale, it was a Belgian PA. Beers are $6 and up. At 5:30 pm, they will seat you for dinner. The mac and cheese is great and very good reheated the next day. None in our party thought... More

If I am going to spend a fair amount of money for a good dinner, this is not the place I'd go. it is noisy, not really comfortable, and small. The menu options are often limited, although can be interesting. We went for dinner and had to wait for our table. it was really crowded and our table was less... More

Fresh local foods... Great ever-changing menu. Service was absolutely the best... Parking a little difficult but worth the hassle. This is a must!

Arguably the best food in Raleigh. Don't be put off by the somewhat seedy storefront and the location nestled among government offices and parking lots The chef has been nominated for a regional James Beard award. The restaurant relies on local and regionally sourced ingredients and the menu changes daily. The macaroni and cheese (a $10 side dish) is generous... More

Poole's Diner has wonderful food. It's a little pricy and service can be spotty at times, especially when it is busy, which is most of the time.
