Nice Italian Restaurant

We wanted to have an Italian dinner and decided to try Assaggio's Italian Bistro, which was close to our hotel, the Courtyard Crabtree. Assagio's has a Italian family-style restaurant feel to it...checked tablecloths, dark wood trim. Staff was nice and helpful in answering questions. We both had... read more

We go here all the time. Excellent salads, pasta, pizza, calzones, sandwiches. Nice beer and wine selection. Tuesdays are 1/2 price wine days. Eat in or take away. Can't go wrong.

Great neighborhood restaurant where you meet up for good Italian food while catching up. The menu have a wide variety including both traditional or 'something' different. I give this place my warmest recommendations.

The food here is consistently good and since it has opened I have probably eaten there fifty times if not more for lunches and dinners. Yep, it's that good. Other reviewers are correct about the garlic knots, the salads and pizzas are fresh and the pasta dishes are quality. If you want squid ink past this isn't the place. They... More

Assaggio's is a wonderful little neighborhood Italian restaurant. We have been going here for two years now, and EVERY meal has been consistently excellent. We absolutely enjoy their mussels marinara appetizer, and we always ask for the marinara to be fra diavlo - spicy! They get it right every single time. Their veal and chicken dishes, as well as their... More

We come to Raleigh to show our quarter horses a number of times each year, so we are always on the lookout for a good meal. This is a favorite place, not too fancy to mind a bit of 'eau de horse' but great food, great service and a pleasant atmosphere! Love the veal

It was a lovely surprise to find that Assagio's was a very good restaurant. The service was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable with just the right amount... More
