Great service with good food.

Rey's Restaurant offers similar menu as Ruth Chris's steak house but its service is better in my opinion. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The salad is surprisingly reasonably priced with big portion. The dessert is also reasonably priced and beautifully presented. The main course's... read more

We enjoyed lovely service and an enjoyable dinner at Rey's, located across the street from South Hills Mall. We had purchased a gift card at Hope Community Church, which Rey had donated to the church for them to use as a fundraiser. Classy. It was our first visit to the restaurant. The restaurant has a nice steakhouse charm, with a... More

This is one of our favorites when we want to go out for a special occasion. It is locally owned with the owner always circulating to make sure that you are getting everything that you need. It is an excellent alternative to Ruth's Christ and Fleming's. I highly recommend it and will continue to return often..

My husband took me to Rey's to celebrate our 16 years wedding anniversary. The food was absolutely exquisite, the atmosphere was perfect, and the service was excellent! I especially enjoyed seeing the owner visit each table in the dining area and having brief conversations with all patrons. It was also a pleasant sight seeing the waiters and waitresses dressed in... The main course's choices are good and tasty but not particularly special.

We had a very nice dinner. The wait staff was exceptional. They offered recommendations for the meal, for the wine and for the dessert, which was a very well prepared. It's the kind of place where you can go, have a nice dinner and actually have a conversation with the people you're eating dinner with.

Family gathering to celebrate our son's graduation from NCSU- what an evening!! Atmosphere great, service exceptional, staff attentive and interactive, food outstanding, table side preparation exciting! The signature cocktails were wonderful. And do not skip desserts- but share them to be able to savor them all!

A little history is in order. Rey's owner came by our table in the wonderful style of yesteryear, and chatted with us about the restaurant history. He opened some 40 restaurants for Ruth's Chris, and took over this former Ruth's Chris's when Ruth's Chris moved to North Hills. My guess is that the out of the way location, and steep... More

We were late for our reservations and the hostess was incredibly gracious. On a Friday night, the restaurant was less than 50% filled. The drinks took a long time to arrive from the bar, and the were not accurate. The lobster and shrimp bisque was very watery, rather tasteless and an odd orange color. My grouper and crab was very... We went to Rey's for Valentine’s Day. Let me start by saying that I really wanted to love Rey’s. Great ambiance - very classy and cozy. It seems like a great place to get away on that special evening out. While we didn't have any problems, we also didn't experience anything incredibly noteworthy. We had a scallop appetizer which was... More

The special seasoning in their New Orleans style chicken was something I hadn't expected. It reminded me how wonderful New Orleans cuisine can be. Not only was the chocolate cake especially scrumptious, but the portion was generous--a colleague said that this was something that he always tackled with the assistance of his wife.
