This is one of the best restaurants in the area and the food is exquisite. There are not always a lot of options for vegans/vegetarians, but if you eat seafood, you will be fine. A great place to go for a romantic evening or special treat.

My wife and I ate there in celebration of our 23nd wedding anniversary based on the recommendation of a friend. It was absolutely the perfect quiet, intimate place you wish for, for a celebration meal. We started with homemade Foie Gras Pate' and an order of Escargots( I know, boring). Both were outstanding, hard to say which we liked more,... More

We went to St. Jacques on the recommendation of friends but weren't all that excited about it. The food was okay but not great. We eat regularly at fine restaurants in the area and are far more impressed by many others. Maybe it was just a bad night but the Braised Veal Pied Paquets (stuffed veal) was, well, not stuffed... ........And, Don't be fooled by it's location .... This restaurant is exceptional in every catagory! Should be rated a 6 star if there was such a rating! It is a small, intimate and elegant restaurant with top notch service. Lil and his staff give you the royal treatment and the food is to die for! If I HAD to complain... More

Attentive service and a great selection of French fares. Overall, a wonderful meal. The restaurant is hidden in a strip mall but don't let that fool you, it's some of the best food in the area.

I chose this restaurant because of the extensive menu. I am a vegetarian, and my partner is not. Outside of a strictly veggie restaurant, I have never had so many appealing entree choices. Please do not let it's location in a strip mall deter you. The interior is inviting and intimate. It is very classy, yet comfortable. The entire staff... More

I ate dinner with my husband at Saint Jacques. He selected it based on the favorable Yelp reviews. This restaurant purports to be French, prominently displaying the "bleu, blanc, rouge" at the entrance. The ambiance is is nice- a small arrangement of carnations on each table and a little candlelit lamp. It's also quiet. The staff is very friendly and... More

Lil Lacassagne, native of Provence, operates this jewel in a north Raleigh strip mall. Nothing special on the outside, but Lil endeavors to greet everyone at the door. Several of the serving staff are from France and you can quickly think you are in southern France. The service is perfect--with black napkins for the ladies dark outfits. These people do... More

This was out 3rd visit in 2 years.. We love it but a little drive for us.. Anyway the owner is French and greets you at the door and seats you as well.. The food selection is good one of each classification and always a special or two as well.. The wine ( all French of course) are fine and... More

Don't be put off by the strip-mall location in North Raleigh. We love this place! It has all the quality and service and excellent food and wine of a high-end French restaurant and none of the snobbery. The staff is friendly, even warm. They are attentive and the owner stops by for a chat w/o fail. The menu changes seasonally... More
