I see other's reviews are not good about this restaurant, but all I can tell is the restaurant is great, food is great and I don't think there are a lot of French restaurants to choose from in the area. The size of the dish is not big, but it totally fits my understanding of how much human should eat.... More

St. Jacques has provided consistently good service, food and atmosphere. In summary: Food & wine: --High quality --Menu varies with season while popular items routinely available --Nice wine selection--No other alcohol available such as mixed drinks or beer Service: --Knowledgeable staff are professional without being so stuffy to make for an uncomfortable atmosphere --Special occasions, seating requests or menu options... Great French food. Best in the Triangle. The absolute best French onion soup I have ever eaten. I had a very good lamb dish. Could have eaten two of them. We have been to Coquet which is good and also to Vin Rouge which is so good its worth the ride to Durham.

St. Jacques is one of our very favorite restaurants in North Raleigh. is a winner of Diners choice for 2015! Great food, wonderful, very professional and friendly service, great atmosphere as well! You cannot go wrong with any of your food choices and they also have a good selection of wines. Last time I checked, they did not have full... More

Eating at St. Jacques was like being inside a French Dream. Ok that's a little poetic, but the starters were great. I wasn't a fan of my entree (Sea Bass) and felt it was a little undercooked, but I ate it anyways. We loved the cheese plate and the escargots - though I prefer mine with butter and garlic rather... Our 45th anniversary dinner.....first time at Saint Jacques. We will return. We made the reservation via Open Table, and noted in the "comments" section that it was our anniversary. The maitre d' knew that immediately when we arrived, and virtually every member of the staff congratulated us through the night....even on our departure. Very warm and welcoming. We were seated... My husband had the Sea Bass and I ordered the dish with lobster, shrimp, scallops and white fish over risotto and topped with pastry. My dish came in a small round crock like 5" bowl. The pastry was overcooked, so I decided to turn it over onto my dish. All I saw was risotto & 3 scallops. Certainly no shrimp... More

It is not the only French restaurant in the area, certainly not French, and should not even be called a restaurant. On their website it is written that the chef/owner is from Grasse and has done his apprenticeship at Roger Verge’s Moulin de Mougins, one of the most reputable 4 stars on the Michelin guide south of France restaurants. This... More

If there was a way to give a negative star I would. When we arrive in time for our reservation we were rudely told that because we had my son we could not be seated because this is a "fine dining" restaurant. We have been to much more five star, fine dining restaurants in New York like per se and... More
