I was in my teens, when I first went to Frank's! I am now almost 62. Frank's is still the same ! This is pizza you dream about! One of the first Frank's to own this gem was Frank Amato. He now owns Piccola Italia Pizza in Cameron Village. The pizza is the same at both locations! A lot of... More

Very nice pizza... U will wait forever and there is just the owner making the pizza. I would not let my wife go alone. the service is really basic and it takes all dam day to get pizza. I actually think 20 for a medium pizza is crazy!!! The first pizza we had was great but the second one was... More

My girlfriend and I went to Frank's based on reviews from Tripadvisor because we were looking for a new pizza place to try. The pizza was excellent and I would gladly order it for takeout, but I wouldn't eat inside again. The decor was fine and is what you would expect for a typical pizza place, but our server basically... More

Based on Google and other reviews I stopped at this place hidden in a small strip of stores on New Bern Avenue. The décor is dated and ordinary, but the staff had ready smiles and helpfulness on their lips. Maxine waited on me with excellence. When she brought my unsweet tea she recommended several items including pizza, sandwiches and entrée... More

The pizza was superb. Its a old bldg but trust me the food was excellent. The staff was very nice and you can see him making the pizza right in front of you. Its a busy place but it's worth the wait

Found this place on Tripadvisor and based on its good reviews decided to try it while alone on business in Raleigh. I had one of the calzones which was excellent and loaded with ingredients. It was the "individual" but was easily enough for 2 to split unless you are really starving. The ambiance is pretty basic but clean and the... More

If you are ever in Raleigh for lunch or dinner and are looking for top flight pizza Frank's cannot be topped. You have to go to New York to find a pizza even remotely as good. They serve the best meatball sub I have ever eaten.

My wife and I visited Frank's on the recommendation of a friend. We both had a pasta dish and enjoyed them very much. The service was excellent. The decor is very 1980's. Iced tea was wonderful. This restaurant is definitely worth a return visit.

Raleigh is not your pizza or sub city. When I first moved here it literally took me YEARS to find a good pizza and sub joint.....finally I landed upon Franks. Everyone I've taken here agrees it's the best pizza or sub they've ever had. My youngest daughter calls it "the scary pizza place" when I ask her if she wants... More
