I love Bacon!!

The BLT, sweet potato fries & lemonade was delicious and plan to go back for breakfast soonI However, I just wanna say a gigantic THANK U to those college guys who anonymously paid for my lunch today at the Ole Time Barbecue restaurant in Raleigh. The waitress informed me after they had left, of... read more

We were a little nervous about trying it - it looks like an old trailer on the side of the road. We tried it and it was fantastic. We had the pork plate with sides (apple sticks, fries, mashed potatoes, and green beans) all very good. Waitress was very friendly and kept our tea glasses full. Food was yummy!

Hm, where to begin. I suppose I should start by saying my family and I ate here once before, close to 4 years ago. Had I written this review then, I'd likely have given them 5 stars. I don't remember what any of us ate but the service was so hospitable and memorable that when we visited again this past... More

Absolutely amazing North Carolina experience from the sassy service to the awesome iced tea and food. Portions aren't huge but the food is very filling. Loved how even the collards and beans said they contain meat...bacon dust? Anyways, it's cheap, awesome, and fast. My only concern was that I'm pretty sure my hubby's mashed potatoes were from a box. They... More

My wife and I visited this little gem on a Saturday between lunch and dinner. I have passed this bright yellow building many times during my workday and it is always booming!!! We did not know what to expect. Upon walking in, you could tell that you were in for an experience. It is rather small with pigs being its... More

A number of years ago the OTB was an occasional place for breakfast for me and a few of my mates. Then time passed, my mates moved away, and I stopped going. Returned this week for breakfast with my wife and we were -- well, I was -- totally disappointed. For one thing, my over-easy eggs sunk into a bath... More

I had the bbq chicken which was very tasty. My husband had the ribs, offered me one and it fell right off the bone! Always a good sign. They were very tasty and my husband was very happy with them, he's hard to please when it comes to ribs. It is a very small hole in the wall kind of... More

We LOVE BBQ but this was tough to eat. We feel the quality is definitely there but the taste is something to acquire. Along with western Carolina BBQ, we have had the best Texas and Memphis has to offer but this BBQ is just too potent with vinegar. The smell alone put us off. The ribs were worse than the... More

If you aren't looking for this mom and pop BBQ joint, you can easily miss it. I have been here a few times and it has a simple menu centered around eastern NC BBQ. This means that their sauce is vinegar based, not the thick tomato base that is famous in western NC. Its a very small joint with just... More

Being spoiled from Texas and having Deep South BBQ smoked and prepared a certain way my whole life I was disappointed by this place. The ribs were fatty and the "dry rub" they use is hardly non existent. Only two selection of sauces which were very vinegary and watered down. The "hush puppies" were very plain with just plain batter... More
