Good Seafood

We ate at the 42nd St. Oyster Bar on our last night in Raleigh, North Carolina, and it was a delightful experience. My wife loved her oysters and I found the shrimp creole to be quite tasty. Our server was a young woman by the name of Mary who was polite and patient with us. The ambiance carried... read more

I love the steamed oysters, cole slaw and hush puppies at this historic establishment. If you sit at the oyster bar, you can interact with the friendly employees.

Sat at the oyster bar for dinner. It had been a long time since I had oyster stew and theirs wasn't as good as what I remember from visiting Oregon. I had the shrimp and grits for my meal. Presentation was nothing special and there were too many grits. Cheddar cheese with an odd gravy on top. There were other... More

Good oysters, not like New Orleans, but this is an airport. Didn't like the sandwiches, too much bread, not enough shrimp. No taste to bread, sauce seemed like a cheap mayo and cayenne mix. Great beer selection.

My husband and I went for dinner to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. We were looking for a causal atmosphere with good seafood and that's what we got! It's not the most romantic place, but the service and food were fantastic! Our waiter Five (yes, 5) was awesome! He was very welcoming and personable. He even brought us 2 glasses... More

We ate here with two other couples and sat at an island near the oyster bar. I have never had oysters fresh from the shell before and they were delicious! On the weekends they have a live band. Jonathan, our bartender made the best Long Island Iced Tea! Our server, Tommy, was very personable and spent a lot of time... More

Went for dinner with a business associate. Service and food were both phenomenal!!! Had oysters and seafood platter. Everything was super fresh. Would return with no question.

This is a local downtown landmark place, and it is excellent! Great variety on the menu and a pretty good wine list, often nice specials as well. Also they have some excellent local bands on the weekends that are well worth the visit. Dinner can be quiet if needed, just ask for a table far away from the band. Parking... More

I have a lonnnnng layover and continuing to eat my way through the Research Triangle area at the airport. I stopped at this place at the concourse D / C confluence. It was jammed with passengers and suitcases. I tried the fried oyster appetizer for $15. It's the airport and I expect to pay a little more for a little... More
