You definitely get your money's worth here! Everything is fresh. On Sundays, the line is out the door. And with good reason. If you stop in for breakfast, the biscuits are delicious!

I'll be full till dinner. Great food and plenty of it. This is a classic dinner and the atmosphere is wonderful. A must while in Raleigh.

Great old time country food. Breakfasts are great! BBQ chicken is some of the best around. Great atmosphere, good Southern service, a must for out of towners. Never had a bad meal or bad service in over 14 years of going there.

Was turned on to this place by hotel staff. Went for breakfast and liked it so much we came back again the next day. Staff is very friendly, and the kitchen is very efficient as we never waited more than a few minutes for food, even with lines out the door. Food quality and variety is stellar, and prices are... We were in Raleigh for a conference and wanted to eat at places that were not chain restaurants and everyone kept mentioning Big Ed's for breakfast. I now see why it is rated so high! Great food, country atmosphere, and friendly service...just go!

We found Big Eds in city market on a Sunday in which they are open 8-2. They only serve breakfast on Sundays. There was a line but worth the wait. They had alot of old items hanging from the ceiling which helped past the time. I had a ham and cheese omelet. If you like cheese, this is the omelet... More

Four of us enjoyed a great breakfast at this restaurant. We all had something different and everybody enjoyed their food. Service was good. It was a bit noisy as it was Sunday brunch but that made it lively and fun.

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of lunch at Big Ed's. Just wow! The meatloaf could have been enough to feed an army. I usually don't like meatloaf at restaurants, but this was just like my mother used to make. Big Ed's does feed you well and at a very reasonable price. Friendly, efficient service too. I just wished... More

This is my favorite spot. Good home cooked breakfast. Don't let the long line stop you from eating here. It goes quickly. Service is quick and they have great prices

Located downtown in the city market district, Big Ed's is in a cute little block with cobblestone streets and uneven brick walkways. Parking in the city is usually free on weekends, so if your willing to drive around the block you are likely to find close parking to the restaurant. We went for Sunday brunch today, got there at 12:30pm... More
