Great place for good down home cooking

This is a great place for breakfast or lunch. Phoenominal food and service. Great breakfast all day and meat and 3 type of place, and a great value to boot. This is my regular meeting place for breakfast and lunch meetings. You can also swing by the farmers market for in season produce and goodies.

I love this place for its food. (The waiters in overalls are a little hokey, but what the heck.) Not surprisingly, given its location, it has great vegetables, and the vegetable plate is an excellent choice. We had country ham and a fried-baloney sandwich, which were both pretty good. They're only open until 3:00 pm, but they serve breakfast until... More

I would be raving about this place if we hadn't also eaten at Big Ed's. Food at Farmers Market is very good -- French Toast that I had was yummy. Portions are nice; staff was pleasant. But, still, just go to Big Ed's. Biscuits, gravy, and pancakes are much better over there.

My husband and I ate here recently on a Sunday around lunch time. We expected a wait, but there was none. Breakfast is served all day long and it was what we came for. The eggs, over easy, I had were accompanied by grits and biscuits . My husband had a vegetable omelet. The biscuits are really very good, very... More

My friend told me that she shopped here for her vegetables so since it was close to our lodging, I wanted to stop by and check it out. Lots of local produce which was great. We bought strawberries to munch on while we browsed. I never saw shelled pecans before so one of the vendors was talking to us about... More

If you've never been to the State Farmers Market Restaurant, stop what you're doing and go now! I have to say, I've NEVER been when there hasn't been some sort of wait. Brunch on the weekends, lunch on the weekday and everything in between, the place is always packed out! The servers are some of the nicest you'll ever meet... More

I laughed when I saw the staff wearing "uniforms" consisting of blue jean overalls and color coordinated t-shirts! But they could have been wearing civil war gear and I wouldn't have minded when they're serving such outstanding food. The biscuits were light and fluffy and delicious-I could have filled up on those alone. And then the bacon and eggs arrived-how... More

This was a repeat visit here for us, but a 1st visit for my son. The food was a good, filing, warm country breakfast! Just what I expected! The loud atmosphere with all the murals was enough to keep my son entertained for most of the meal. The wait staff all were very friendly!

Usually go there for Sunday breakfast. Good variety of home style dishes. Everything is prepared fresh, great biscuits & omelets. Place is always busy so wait is long for food
