Good eats, good service

A wide variety of home-cooked veggies, meats, "sides", etc. for lunches. (Never tried breakfast here). Everything is reasonably priced and considering the portion sizes, sometimes I'm a little surprised it doesn't cost a bit more. Service is always great, outdoor patio seating is fun on a nice day... read more

While traveling to the Carolinas, we were searching for reasonably priced, yet traditional and tasty meals. A co-worker recommended State Farmers Market to us I got an omelet, which was great--very fresh, and my boyfriend got the ribs. They were a great price and very good. Lastly, our server, Philip, was fantastic! I would highly recommend!

I eat here much too much! So does my wife! Why? The food is great, the service is great, the food is great, the service is great! Delicious, southern food, country biscuits, sweet tea, and a great staff! A MUST visit if you come to or live in the Raleigh area.

The restaurant is across from the street from the stalls that area farmers display their goods. This is one of the best markets I have ever seen. The restaurant is one of the best at any farmers market and just one of the best restaurant on it's own. I have eaten most of the menu and everything was great. The... More

This is a great place for breakfast or lunch. Phoenominal food and service. Great breakfast all day and meat and 3 type of place, and a great value to boot. This is my regular meeting place for breakfast and lunch meetings. You can also swing by the farmers market for in season produce and goodies.

I love this place for its food. (The waiters in overalls are a little hokey, but what the heck.) Not surprisingly, given its location, it has great vegetables, and the vegetable plate is an excellent choice. We had country ham and a fried-baloney sandwich, which were both pretty good. They're only open until 3:00 pm, but they serve breakfast until... More

I would be raving about this place if we hadn't also eaten at Big Ed's. Food at Farmers Market is very good -- French Toast that I had was yummy. Portions are nice; staff was pleasant. But, still, just go to Big Ed's. Biscuits, gravy, and pancakes are much better over there.

My husband and I ate here recently on a Sunday around lunch time. We expected a wait, but there was none. Breakfast is served all day long and it was what we came for. The eggs, over easy, I had were accompanied by grits and biscuits . My husband had a vegetable omelet. The biscuits are really very good, very... More

My friend told me that she shopped here for her vegetables so since it was close to our lodging, I wanted to stop by and check it out. Lots of local produce which was great. We bought strawberries to munch on while we browsed. I never saw shelled pecans before so one of the vendors was talking to us about... More
