True Italian

The atmosphere the food and the people are all truly wonderful. The food is genuine Italian and it is owned by a great Italian family. Whenever we move or stay in an area, I look for the very comfortable place, very welcoming, great food and no rush. The Capri is my type of place. Dino. The owner, greets everyone making them feel very welcome. The Itslian food is great, good wine at reasonable price, I like the Multipulciano, and time to relax. Always a perfect... More

This little gem, tucked away in the corner of a shopping center was a pleasant surprise. Raised on great family owned Italian restaurants in New Jersey, I have missed the atmosphere, smells and tastes of authentic food. Service and food was very good. You won't be disappointed.

This was a wonderful surprise. It's in a strip mall, but not crowded inside and very much like a restaurant you'd find in Italy. The wait staff was professional and not rushed, and the food most excellent. Definitely going here again.

One slip on the last visit: chicken in the cacciatore was overcooked and tough. About $40 per person, with wine (they don’t serve liquor), no dessert. About my ratings: In an effort to compare apples to apples, my ratings are strictly for establishments within thirty minutes travel of each-other. It makes no sense whatsoever to give five stars to a... More

Dino, owner of Capri Restaurant, has brought authentic Italian fare to Raleigh, served up fresh and lovingly prepared [and by using only the freshest ingredients, some of which he grows himself]. Flavors are expertly judged and cooked and fairly burst from the plate, bringing the experience of eating canal-side in Venice or on a small Florentine piazza back from one's... More

It might not be easy to find Capri, an Italian restaurant tucked back in an obscure corner of a strip shopping center in North Raleigh that is anchored by a Fresh Market, but it is worth the hunt. Capri has been serving well-prepared Italian food for 15 years and offering really good value. Over the years the menu has gotten... More

The seafood ravioli is an excellent tasting dish as was the tortellini. They make the Tiramisu in-house and is definitely full of rich flavors. A bit pricy for what you get, but the food and service are definitely outstanding.
