Mr M loves the ambiance of the Barn

Business is really good at the Barn. The place is hard to get into on a Sat night so make a reservation well in advance. Next time I visit, I may eat at the bar upstairs. The food is always good but I'm usually sated before the meal arrives picking on cheese and crackers, olives, pickles and... read more

I have lived in this area for almost 30 years, and had never been to the Angus Barn until last weekend. We went for a family celebration dinner and found that we were not alone in our revelry. It seemed that every party in attendance was celebrating something, and the staff took this in stride. It was very crowded but... More

Visited Raleigh from Toronto and heard about this place from locals. Simply amazing! The steak was perfect and the atmosphere was like nothing I've seen anywhere else. A truly must go to for anyone visiting. Found out later that the restaurant is consistently in the top 10 of Best restaurants in America and after experiencing it I can see why.... More

My first visit to Angus Barn was back in 1977. A little overpriced then but this was the closest thing to the NYC/Chicago chain steak houses for the area. Have been back a few times over the years, the last was visiting family in 2006 while home from working in South Africa. Then and now it is a still a... More

Their steak prices are over valued, We went there for the first 6 months down here, them tried Longhorn steak houses, steak same brand angus, better atmosphere, prices, bar, only thing was the booth for 4 was small, bar was long, for fast service medium, all in all, you save 1/3 the price than AB, AB is all hype, Christmas... Went for my birthday, had one of the most wonderful filets, edges out Firebirds by a nose even, which for me says a lot. Daughter got one too and gave it two thumbs up. Wife got a salad, though in all the fun I forgot to ask how she liked it. More importantly, when I asked the effervescent lady at... More

My husband and I lived in Raleigh for a year...many, many years ago...we did eat at AB once, and I couldn't understand the hype. We were recently back in the area and my husband wanted to eat at Angus Barn again. I agreed. We did not have good service at all. We sat and sat before our server ever came,... More

I have had mixed experiences at the Angus Barn over the years, but for the most part, I've had very good meals there. The service is always quite attentive, the food is typically very good and worth the price, and the atmosphere is lively and comfortable. Probably my favorite part of the Angus Barn is getting drinks and appetizers in... More

A friend chose for us to travel an hour to the Angus Barn for his birthday celebration, and it couldn't have been better. It was definitely worth the trip. The four of us enjoyed outstanding service and a delightful meal that was a throwback to up-scale steakhouses of the past. From the cheese and cracker plate to start, to the... More
