Food is always excellent. We love to eat at the bar. Lovely atmosphere. Upscale but not stuffy. Excellent service.

My husband and I decided to eat here on a Friday night without a reservation. The restaurant was crowded for being early, 6pm, but the friendly host offered to seat us at a small section of the bar until a table or a seat at the regular bar became available. In the meantime, we ordered a drink and fried oysters.... More

About ten years ago, I was visiting Raleigh for work and was staying at the Crabtree Valley Marriott. The hotel had an album of menus from local restaurants, and, after perusing them, I decided to try the Glenwood Grill on Glenwood Avenue, which was not far away. What a great choice. Despite its rather humble location in the back row... More

We were visiting the downtown area and had our hearts set on a local restaurant but were quickly disappointed to discover most of the restaurants were closed for a special benefit. Again we checked with Tripadvisor and we found ourselves in the Glenwood Grill. Entree chioces were plentiful and we ordered the catfish and salmon dishes. The catfish was lightly... More

Had dinner at the Glenwood grill last Friday completely by accident. I was in town visiting family and originally we just wanted a quick bite so we tried the local chain restaurants near the mall. well after deciding not to wait 55 minutes for a table, I simply did a search on my phone. So glad we did. this was... More

On the corner of Glenwood Ave and Oberlin Rd in the Harris Teeter shopping center, you'll find one of Raleigh's gastronomic delights. A little unassuming Bistro call Glenwood Grill. The food is nothing short of amazing. Although a bit pricier than what most would pay in an establishment that shares parking with a supermarket, you get what you pay for.... More

Just had my first and last dinner at this place. I had a hard time finding anything on the menu that appealed to me. The food was average and was room temperature at best, as though it had sat out in the kitchen for quite a while before it got to me. I wasn't finished with my appetizer when the... More

We have been eating here for years..our favorite 'go-to' place for consistently good food, charming setting, and warm atmosphere. The staff is just WONDERFUL- knowledgable, friendly and very professional. Chris the manager is one of the best and runs a good ship. The food is consistently delicious with great daily specials. I hesitated to write about the Glenwood Grill, even... More

I had never been to this place before but went with a friend for lunch. The waiter was extremely helpful in suggesting things from the menu. We both took his suggestions. I had the shrimp and grits and he had the shrimp tacos. Both items were very good and so tasty. I also had the squash soup before my entrée.... More

we enjoyed a recent, early evening supper at the glen wood grill...what a wonderful surprise! we started at 530 when the place was almost empty...it was full when we left at 630. Although almost every table was taken, the noise level was low and it was possible to enjoy a conversation. the lighting was low and created a cozy atmosphere.... More
