Love, love this tiny little local gym. The food is fantastic and the cakes are a sight to behold. They are enormous and by far the best in town. Think foot tall layers cakes like blueberry lemon curd or the Elvis peanut butter banana pie. This is the perfect date night spot and the black and white photos throughout give... More

We love to come here. there are one or two people- hostess- not Lisa- who has a real attitude . she knew nothing about the drinks. Seemed unhappy to be asked to assist and mostly seemed out of place at this fun- upbeat place. Please V get some help with your smile and service.

Went on a weekend without a reservation and was told that Tuesday was the best. Need 4 people for a reservation. Went on Tues. and were immediately seated. Service was great. A nice basket of bread, two biscuits, two nut breads and two others for the meal. Ordered a half salad with goat cheese and should have stopped there. Had... More

This is a neighborhood restaurant and bakery. If you are from out of town and want a taste of Raleigh's finest local spot, this would be it. I doubt many hotels would point you in this direction or even know to. This is one of those places that has been around forever. It's small, WWII era decor, awesome food, legendary... More

The cheeseburgers here are awesome!! Always cooked perfectly with whatever your heart desires on it. The fries are always perfect - just crispy enough! The service is hit or miss....seems like it takes them forever to take an order and service once you get the burger is almost impossible to get! The desserts are to die for! On this particular... I love this place. It has a 40s theme and is set inside an old pharmacy. The atmosphere is unique and laid back. The food and menu is incredible. Extremely fresh and cooked to order. Don't miss the desserts either. They are huge and the variety is incredible. I love love love the coconut cake. A trueraleigh hidden gem!

Great retro 40's Hollywood theme with good food, good menu, and good service. A friend once said he never finished the chicken pot pie at HB. I wasn't sure which way to take the comment, so I tried it recently and I found out. It is delicious, served hot with most of a tender chicken beneath the piecrust. It is... More

I have been going here for years and decided it was time to write a review. This is just a Jewell here in Raleigh that everyone should at least make it to once. The dinners are great and I have never been disappointed in both service and food. It is just a happy place to go. Although the dessert's are... More

This is my hubby's go to place when he wants to have a great meal. He never looks at the menu just asks for the special and goes with it. I always get the Ava Gardner Salad and the Bogie Burger. The decor is WWII Old Hollywood - get there early because seating is very limited. They now take reservations... More

Tonight was my first visit to Hayes Barton. We only had dessert - but what a dessert it was! I had the Flourless Chocolate Hazelnut Cake and my friend had the Patty Cake. The cake is absolutely wonderful; however the serving size is gigantic and each slice is $9. I wish a half portion was offered for people who aren't... More
