It has been a few years since we have dined at Nina's and we wanted italian food. The wine list is nice and you start with bread and bruschetta while milling over your menu selections. My wife had the Penne alla Vodka, which I helped her finish and was very good. The reason why I assisted with helping my wife... More

This is a small strip mall restaurant that is worth a visit. We keep returning to eat here. Each meal starts with a delicious tray of bread and the good food just continues from there. My family and friends have been here on multiple occasions and each time we have found the food to be tasty and fresh. The tables... More

The restaurant was only 1/3 full on Saturday night ... there was no excitement in the air to be sure. It was like eating in some restaurant in the off season. We have dined here often over the years, but were quite disappointed tonight. Our entree ... the 'lobster risotto special' ... was below par ... C'mon guys ... every... More

But every time we dine here it is better than the last time!! And I just love how Nina comes around and talks to everyone. It's just the perfect intimate dining experience. If you try it once you will be hooked:)

We went to Nina's for the first time on Valentine's Day which is of course is a real test for restaurants. Nina's passed with flying colors. Our table was ready when we arrived at the reservation time. It is a fairly small place in a strip mall. It was never completely full while we were there. The atmosphe is very... More

We've been to this neighborhood restaurant many times since it first opened. I agree with other reviewers that it can be a little noisy in the main dining room at times, but this does actually add to the feeling that you're at a neighborhood restaurant in Italy. The food is consistently good authentic Italian food, and if there's something you... More

I had great expectations about this restaurant. The place is nice just a little noisy. The food was Ok. The dessert not the best I ever had.

We went with some friends to Nina's on a recent Friday night for the first time. Our friends' daughter had been there many times and really liked it and since this was a special evening for her she got to pick the restaurant. I have to say I wasn't very impressed when we drove up - just a typical shopping... More

This is a great restaurant and I will go back again when I am in Raleigh -- but I was seated at a table in the bar and waited for 15 plus minutes and no one brought me water, a menu, NOTHING. I'm pretty sure the owener (or manager) was sitting at the bar and noticed my table more than... More

Went to Nina's last thursday on our way to a show in Durham. Located in a small shopping center, Nina's is a family run restaurant serving traditional italian cuisine. Nothing fancy or creative, but reasonable italian staples, served in a very friendly atmosphere. We started w/ the stuffed mushrooms in the marsala wine sauce which was great, and the fried calamari... More
