My place for anniversary dinner

Nina's Italian Ristorante is my choice for celebrating my anniversary. My husband and I love the calamari, especially the marinara that comes with it (I have to always as for extra). The last time I ate there, it was at the bar. I wanted some sort of condiment but the bartender didn't pay too... read more

We arrived early for dinner and drinks after a hard day at work. We eat out 5-6 times a week. Many nights we don't feel like a heavy dinner so we end up each having a salad and splitting an entre. We were the only people in the restaurant. We each had a couple of drinks and decided to share... More

...but, always reliable. Eggplant Rollatini app is big enough for an entreé. Scampi is very good. about $25 per person, no booze, no dessert. About my ratings: In an effort to compare apples to apples, my ratings are strictly for establishments within thirty minutes travel of each-other. It makes no sense whatsoever to give five stars to a top Paris... More

We had an outstanding meal at Nina's. Our waitress was enthusiastic and quite helpful. Nice Italian bread with an olive oil dipping sauce was outstanding. House salad with vinagrette was ok, Gorgonzola salad included walnuts was also enjoyable. The Veal Piccata was superb, tender slices of veal served with lemon sauce and capers. The sides were tender asparagus spears and... More

Note that I'm slightly biased as I'm still eating authentic Italian home cooked meals. Ninas is your typical American Italian restaurant. Decor is slightly kitsch with walls painted to look like marble and the big landscape mural on the wall, but has nice touches with the dark wood wine storage and tasteful gold chandelier. Service was friendly and attentive. Menu... More

We stopped into Nina's early New Year's Eve for a cocktail. The bartenders were welcoming, polite and very entertaining. The old fashion drink I had was suburb and my husband enjoyed his dirty martini. Nina came around and wished everyone a Happy New Year. We will return to Nina's very soon and stay for dinner this time. The food has... More

Haven't been to them all, but this is the best Italian I've found in Raleigh area. Also, check out the homemade Mojitas at the bar - these definitely ARE the best.

Nina greeted us at the door with a huge smile and an apron. From that moment on we had a quintessential upscale Italian restaurant experience which reminded me of my days in New Jersey. This is a white linen style Italian restaurant, but without the pretense of other local eateries. The food is reasonably priced for what you get. The... More

You'll love this place. Tucked away in N. Raleigh, but really not a bad location. Great food, decent wine list, & awesome service combine to make this near the top of the list for Raleigh's Italian fare. We ordered Penne ala vodka (chicken, a little spicy) and salmon w/ cheese ravioli...from the bread and salads to start, through the entrees... More

It has been a few years since we have dined at Nina's and we wanted italian food. The wine list is nice and you start with bread and bruschetta while milling over your menu selections. My wife had the Penne alla Vodka, which I helped her finish and was very good. The reason why I assisted with helping my wife... More
