First time here and after ordering a mango margarita I was shocked it wasn't served in a margarita glass. It might sound petty but it's Mexican and I like those glasses. The serving size was small and tasted way too sweet and not enough alcohol. ($9.00 special) smh.... I had the shrimp tacos and rice a beans. Shocked about the... More

We were celebrating 5 friend's 60th birthday! The food is always very fresh and definitely not the run of the mill Mexican food. Reservations are a must b/c of the restaurant's popularity!

Food is very good and seems fresh. Wait staff need to be more familiar with menu. When you ask if something is spicy and they say "no" then it's so hot you can't eat it. Then waiter says "well never tried that" which is answer should have given originally. Otherwise we find the food interesting and very fresh.

I've been to this place twice. Both times it was at best average. I cannot believe the love this place gets based on the two meals that I had. I have no plans to go back. There are much better Mexican restaurants in Raleigh than this one.

Inside decor is outstanding. Food was excellent and staff was quick and courteous. The service was far better than many of the restuarants I have been to. The manager checked on us and even took time tell us a little about how the restaurant started.

I had the special - salmon tacos - not good - had to send back. Everyone else liked their food - except my kids - as they don't have hard shell tacos (most "trendy" Mexican places don't). Still a fun experience. My kids like the face painter outside the best!

The atmosphere makes you feel as if you should be sitting on a beach in mexico! The food is authentic and absolutely delicious. I love that they put a slice of avocado on the tacos. Salsa is homemade and chunky with bits of tomatoes. Highly recommend! Service great.

Took my picky brothers and their wives earlier this month and as usual the food was fresh, piquant and delightful for all palates.

Recently was in Raleigh and decided to have Mexican. Made reservations at Gonza ( glad we did because it was packed). Different atmosphere, but this added to meal. Great margaritas. Food was fresh, well prepared and smoking hot when it arrived. Everything we ordered was delicious. If you want fresh Mexican inspired food that you don't want to order by... More

I go here almost every week for lunch, except Monday they are closed! Must get there before 12. Love their Guacamole and their tacos! Excellent wait staff and the manager ALWAYS comes by and ask how everything is. Definitely authentic foods. Love this place!!
