A wonderfully different experience

A friend who lives in Durham suggested this place based on reviews, so we gave it a try. I had no idea it was 3rd highest rated in Raleigh on TA. Yes, it is in a small strip mall, but I've eaten some really good food at strip malls. I have never had Peruvian food, so I didn't really know... read more

Had lunch on a Friday--- the only day open for lunch. Did not have a wait. Not too busy. Pleasant wait staff and knowledgeable menu.. Lunch menu has fewer options than dinner but prices are lesser too as are portions----just what we wanted. Food was awesome, especially the fish and Peruvian salad. Loved the healthy selections.

What this place lacks in atmosphere and service it makes up for with the quality of the seafood dishes served in a unique Peruvian style. It's located in a strip mall and is very small in size. I would highly recommend reservations on a Friday or Saturday evening. You'll need to be prepared to relax and enjoy a leisurely meal... More

My wife was visiting her daughter for a week so I thought I would take in a restaurant that we had tried a year or so ago but had not returned. After dining there again, it became quite evident that I should have returned sooner. First, the wait staff were extremely helpful with excellent recommendations. I had seen an endorsement... More

I love this ranking by TA. My wife and I have been going down the list of the top places in Raleigh and, though we know NOTHING about Peruvian food, thought we'd give it a try. We are ECSTATIC that we did! The food is amazing, full of flavor, and so very fresh - sourced locally whenever possible. Check it... More

We went here for a date night, we didn't have a reservation but we went rather early so it wasn't an issue. The wait staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They give you a little dish of Peruvian popcorn which looks like corn nuts but it wasn't hard, it was extremely good!! All of the food is made to order... More

What a great experience this was. Loved it.....We were celebrating our Anniversary and are glad we picked Machu Picchu for this occasion. One of our group is from Cusco, Peru and his wife and baby have lived there as well. They were able to lead us through the extensive menu. We each got a different thing so tasted each one.... More

I love Peruvian food and has been a real challenge to find one place in the Triangle that meet my expectations! We shared a ceviche trio (this was my favorite) as an appetizer. From the entrees, we ate the Aji de Gallina and Lomo Saltado. All pretty good. I also asked for pisco sour, my favorite cocktail! Everything was great!... More

I love eating at Mom and Pop type places.. This is one you need to try. Very friendly and concerned that we were happy with the meal. The aji de gallina was fantastic!!! The seco de res was a little bland but still tasty. Pisco sours were spot on and the Ceviche was also really tasty.
