This is one if my favorite spots in Raleigh and an excellent place to enjoy authentic Peruvian food. Gloria and Victor will treat you to a delicious selection of Peruvian dishes that will have you coming back to try everything they have to offer. My favorites are the tiradito, any of the ceviches, lomo saltado, and chupe de camarones! Make... More

We were intrigued by the #2 rating this restaurant received in "best restaurants in Raleigh" and specifically about the comments regarding the food. If you love great and interesting food with strong flavors, you should make Machu Picchu Peruvian Cuisine a mandatory stop. The ceviche appetizers are best of the best - I am not a shellfish eater, but my... More

Great little Peruvian restaurant in a Raleigh strip mall. Authentic menu put me on memory lane of years in Peru: ceviche, jalea, tacu tacu, lomo saltado, chupe de camarones, papa a la huancaina, the works. Attentive service. All very very tasty - wish the ceviche had been a tad more zesty and more kick. But this is a great find,... More

The other Trip Advisor reviews were right - this is a superb restaurant. Don't let the location in a strip mall fool you. This should be considered at least a four star restaurant. Definitely an adventure in eating. We were not ready to try the ceviche (fish "cook" in vinegar), but we did try the beef and beans stew with... More

My husband and I decided to try Machu Picchu while in Raleigh. We had the Jalea for two. It was delivered to our table by the chef and two others with bell ringing and cheering! It was a festive way to receive a meal. This dish is wonderful! It is lightly fried seafood that is piled on top of fried... More

My husband and I visited this restaurant on Saturday night. At first glance, it didn't look like great place to eat at because it is in a small strip mall and the outside looked a little rundown. INSIDE though was another story. Nicely decorated and quite busy! When we arrived, there were several tables occupied and almost all of the... More
