Ignore the signs, enjoy the meal and service

Our daughter picked this place based on all the good reviews on TA. There was a sign on the front door "Reservations Highly Recommended" but at 8:15 we didn't have a problem getting a table. The interior is Peruvian kitsch dotted with stark black and white block letter signs indicating that they... read more

It's been 2 weeks since I had a dinner there while I was visiting Raleigh. Our food was cooked to perfection, great food with a reasonable portion and price!! Service was excellent and was able to feel personal touch. Although the restaurant started to get busy near dinner time we didn't have to wait long. Everything was served just in... More

The food was great, from the Jalea, to the amazing Tiradito ceviche, everything was excellent. Remember to call ahead as it fill up fast!

Our several experiences at Machu Picchu have all been delightful. It is an unpretentious restaurant located in a strip mall, but they have lovely, high-quality linens. The cuisine far outshines the surroundings. The ceviches are refreshing and delicious (the fish is my favorite, but the shrimp is my husband's and the spiciest mixed really wakes up your taste buds.) The... More

Our Peruvian friends thought it authentic, our Chilean friends as well. Excellent food and good service. A bit pricey, and some dishes have small portions for price.

This restaurant is fantastic. From the servers to the atmosphere and food, it is wonderful! We had a table of 9 and everyone loved their meal. Mine almost melted in my mouth. Will definitely go back. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would.

Today, we had lunch at Mach Picchu, a restaurant that serves Peruvian cuisine. We had read other reviews and were not disappointed in the food or the service. Our waiter, David, was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Since we had not eaten Peruvian food before dining at Machu Picchu, we very much appreciated his help in making our selections. We... Machu Picchu is my favorite restaurant in Raleigh. The atmosphere is low key as this place is a family own restaurant managed by a husband/wife team - Victor and Gloria. The food is absolutely outstanding and covers a wide variety of taste - fish, meat, chicken, and vegetarian. Gloria was also a renowned pastry chef prior to starting Machu Picchu... More
