After reading the reviews we had to try this restaurant (rated #2) on a recent visit to Raleigh and loved it. Firstly, don't let this strip mall location put you off. The atmosphere is nice and cozy inside. The ceviche is to die for! We tried the fish and shrimp ceviche as our appetizer and it was amazing. I have... More

You'd have to know the place was there to discover it; its in the corner of a strip mall. But once you get inside, you know you've found a hidden treasure. Everything we had was scrumptious, with the tamalito being especially of note. The food tasted authentic without feeling too rustic. The serving staff was friendly and helpful, and the... More

This is one if my favorite spots in Raleigh and an excellent place to enjoy authentic Peruvian food. Gloria and Victor will treat you to a delicious selection of Peruvian dishes that will have you coming back to try everything they have to offer. My favorites are the tiradito, any of the ceviches, lomo saltado, and chupe de camarones! Make... More

We were intrigued by the #2 rating this restaurant received in "best restaurants in Raleigh" and specifically about the comments regarding the food. If you love great and interesting food with strong flavors, you should make Machu Picchu Peruvian Cuisine a mandatory stop. The ceviche appetizers are best of the best - I am not a shellfish eater, but my... More

Great little Peruvian restaurant in a Raleigh strip mall. Authentic menu put me on memory lane of years in Peru: ceviche, jalea, tacu tacu, lomo saltado, chupe de camarones, papa a la huancaina, the works. Attentive service. All very very tasty - wish the ceviche had been a tad more zesty and more kick. But this is a great find,... More
