Delightful Peruvian cuisine

Great place for ceviche; they have an extensive list of typical Peruvian ceviches. Another reviewer mentioned the Lomo Saltado, and I agree that it is outstanding. That alone is worth a trip. Everyone in our group was quite pleased with their order, which included a grouper dish with lima bean... read more

We were visiting some NC colleges and found this restaurant on Trip Advisor Wow...what a great restaurant! After having read the excellent reviews, we had to give this place a shot being that my husband is from Peru. Where do I start..we were able to walk right in and sit down on a Friday at 4:30 pm. We were promptly... More

Another great visit, great food and service, this restaurant never fails to impress. The food is delicious, and the owners take care of their guest like family, it reminds me like going home to Mom and eat her cooking, I like the family atmosphere the best along with the great food!

A group of friends returns to Raleigh once a year, and we always make sure we stop by the Machu Picchu Peruvian restaurant. With a great family vibe, this restaurant never fails to impress. The food is delicious, and the owners take care of their guests. This place gets busy, so make sure you have reservations. And, don't forget to... More

Our daughter picked this place based on all the good reviews on TA. There was a sign on the front door "Reservations Highly Recommended" but at 8:15 we didn't have a problem getting a table. The interior is Peruvian kitsch dotted with stark black and white block letter signs indicating that they take credit cards only and require ID for... More

It's been 2 weeks since I had a dinner there while I was visiting Raleigh. Our food was cooked to perfection, great food with a reasonable portion and price!! Service was excellent and was able to feel personal touch. Although the restaurant started to get busy near dinner time we didn't have to wait long. Everything was served just in... More

Our several experiences at Machu Picchu have all been delightful. It is an unpretentious restaurant located in a strip mall, but they have lovely, high-quality linens. The cuisine far outshines the surroundings. The ceviches are refreshing and delicious (the fish is my favorite, but the shrimp is my husband's and the spiciest mixed really wakes up your taste buds.) Our Peruvian friends thought it authentic, our Chilean friends as well. Excellent food and good service. A bit pricey, and some dishes have small portions for price.
