Good, not great

Fortunately, we had made reservations, because when we arrived Saturday evening they had posted a sign saying if you didn't already have a reservation, please try again another time. I counted about 13 tables of 2-6 people the night we were there (varies depending on configuration of course); they... read more

My husband and I decided to visit this restaurant for his birthday based on it TripAdvisor ranking. We were pleasantly surprise, the food was flavorful, plentiful and a delight to our palates. We tried the ceviche sampler and we both got the same entrée, because we couldn't decide on a dish whose description was better than the dish we picked.... More

Machu Picchu is in a dying plaza without a lot of popular places surrounding it, so when you pull up to it don't judge a book by it's cover. The service was great, and the food was very delicious, I would recommend this place is you are in town and looking for a local spot.

Great meal and will absolutely be returning. Had the Jalea and my dining partner had the Seca de Res. We split the Ceviche de Camerones, which was excellent. The beef in the Seca was slightly dry and the Jalea was more lettuce and salsa than seafood, however, this did not distract from the freshness and flavor of the overall dishes... More

Great Peruvian food. The owners put a lot of work into their dishes, and diners are treated like family. Love it.

This was my introduction to Peruvian dining and it was very enjoyable. The food is very good. I had Ahi de Gallim (shredded chicken dish) for my entrée and a Peruvian rice pudding for dessert. This is a small place, seats about 40 people, very clean and rather quiet, little music in the background but not too loud. The servers... More

I had high hopes for this restaurant but in the end, I was underwhelmed. Yes the people are lovely and our waiter was a sweetheart, but the prices say prime time and the food and atmosphere state not ready for prime time. The ceviche sampler had two items that tasted similar and were quite spicy, The servings were small. My... More

This restaurant has fabulous, fresh, authentic Peruvian food. The cerviche is out of this world! All food is cooked by the owners, including the deserts which are made by one of the top pastry chefs in Raleigh. If you are lucky, you'll be there on a night when a 'special' desert is being offered, like the mango custard tart. For... More

Stopped by again today for lunch and had ceviche and one of their chicken dishes. The food is really delicious and ceviche trio one of the best. Beware when ordering soda since they only have it in cans at about 10 times the price of a can bought in a 12-pack at the store.

We have gone to this restaurant many times. Today we ordered Chupe De Camaron. The soup tasted a bit weird so we told our waitress, she procedeed to call the chef/owner. She came out, asked us what the problem was, we explained. She offered to bring us the same food back and after we told her that we did not... More
