I just got take out but what a great find. Excellent food. I was able to walk from my hotel. I got the general chicken. I usually like mine a little spicier but the rich flavor made up for it.

My visit to David's was excellent. The location was very convenient to my hotel so I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. The hostess was professional and polite. My server continued the professionalism and the kitchen topped it off with a wonderful meal. Good food, cool atmosphere, and friendly service. Perhaps I'll go back before I... More

Okay, let's split this review into two sections. Drinks: Terrapin Hopsecutioner (local microbrew) - very fruity on the nose. Nicely refreshing. Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA - not too shabby at all. Willamette Valley Vineyard Riesling - light and fluffy. It had all the characteristics of a riesling, but stuff all depth. Oyster Bay Pinot Noir - an export. What... More

Raleigh has a shortage on great Asian cuisine. It is always a treat to find a local restaurant with a chef who can serve up Asian delicacies that create those tastes and textures. At David's the dumplings are a success. Some of the noodle dishes are also quire delicious. I also tasted some dishes that were less successful. For me... More

David's is a great place for dumplings, noddles and other Asian dishes. It is towards the end of all the college restaurants along Hillsborough and is worth the extra money

If you have a hankering for good Chinese or Pan-Asian food, why settle on a fast-food hole in the wall? David's is extraordinary! You will pay a bit more but your tummy and palette will be so satisfied afterwards. From their web site: "This unique eatery is owned and operated by Chef David Mao, a successful restaurant owner and culinary... More

This fun restaurant, near Cameron Village and NC State has fabulous asian dishes including artisan dumplings and wonderful noodle dishes. Atmosphere is relaxed, but very nice. And it is a good sized restaurant, making it available. Highly recommended. Prices are reasonable and worthwhile.

Second time here and still like this place a lot. Service is very good. We ordered to appetizers the half fried dumplings and fries won tons at our servers suggestion. Both were excellent. The egg plant pork was the star. Excellent. Noodles also good. My son ordered the low main with shrimp and beef. My husband Kung pao chicken extra... More

We ordered Pad Thai and Pho, both good. The prices were higher than the menu listed on Tripadvisor. My Pad Thai was 10.95. There's free parking for the restaurant in the roundabout near by. Also, David is an adorable old Asian man. It's not the best Pad Thai I had in my life, but it was good.

I've eaten here a couple of times for lunch. I wasn't overly impressed with the Mao (too sweet) or the dumplings ... the Chirba Chirba truck has them beat by a long shot! http://www.chirbachirba.com/ The second time, I had the Hunan beef which was OK in my opinion. Food aside, which is ordinary and not worth a special trip, the... More
