We were in town for a concert and tried Tuscan Blue. As we got out of the car, there was a heavenly smell of NC BBQ! We found out later it was coming from The Pit across the street. Wish we had gone there! We were a party of 6 and had an early reservation. 3 of us had the... More

Before I start, let me say I have been in this restaurant a good multiple times. From a few date nights to New Years Eve to Valentine's Day. Every time, the establishment seems to get worse. I don't understand who is letting them false advertise. I don't have to be a chef or a good critic to realize that, be... More

Should have know when walking in at 8:45 on a Friday night and the restaurant being half empty that it was a poor choice.. However we are not in down town Raleigh often so we thought what the heck? Service was slow and not very welcoming... Food was bland and was clearly not fresh pasta. My bow tie dish was... More

Although the gluten free options are few, the spinach and ricotta ravioli I ordered was perfect. It didn't taste like gluten free pasta at all. Also, it did not make me sick like other restaurants that have "gf" options. My family ordered regular pastas and we're equally pleased. I would highly recommend this restaurant, whether you're gluten free or not.

Although the food was good, the total experience of bad service and an owner who was more interested in chastising the waiter than fixing the situation, Tuscan Blu is not a place I will visit again. Great location but not all the free parking they advertise.

MENU: Both visits, everyone ordered from the $10 lunch menu which included a spring green salad with a simple oil/vinegar dressing. Nothing fancy, but very nice. The main course options were a few pasta dishes and several meat ones. Everyone was very happy with their choices. For lunch the portions were ample. The red-sauce flavors from the various dishes were... More

We attended during Restaurant Week. There was an advertisement for a wine pairing at a special rate but the restaurant said after we got there that they were not offering it, despite the ad. Still, the meal was very good. Service was acceptable, but not very attentive or accurate.

We gave this restaurant a tryout during Restaurant Week and can't wait to go back. The food was excellent and offered variety I've not seen in many Italian restaurants. The service was attentive and prompt, but never made us feel rushed or pushed. No small part of the Tuscan Blu experience is gregarious chef-owner Maurizio Privilegi, whose affable guidance ("Don't... More

The food is fresh and prices are quite reasonable at this very friendly Italian. It's hard to find good Italian in the South and this place is quite good.

Ate lunch here with friends. Their lunch specials are $10, include salad, entree and tea or coffee. Generous portions for lunch. I will definitely return. Downtown, free parking, not a chain.
