Ask any Italian-American what ‘gravy’ is, and they'll tell you it's the pasta sauce that their mothers and grandmothers cooked fresh every night. At Gravy Restaurant we take the same care, preparing our signature sauce every day using select tomatoes and locally grown herbs. The heart and soul poured into the preparation of traditional Italian-American dishes pairs with inspired modern twists and a focus on seasonal ingredients to define Gravy’s unique approach to this classic cuisine.

Tasty and with an Authentic Touch

If you're looking for Italian food and want something that bears a resemblance to your favorite Roman trattoria, this is a great option. The food isn't bad; its just nothing special. People who might like the food will be those who prefer smaller portions and light seasoning - especially salt. Expect to pay at least $50 with tip for two adults. You get the downtown restaurant ambiance, which is probably what I liked best about it. We had the tagliatelle ala bolognese and... More

My boyfriend and I were looking to try something new and had heard about Gravy, so we decided to check it out. He had a signature cocktail and it was good but a bit sour so he switched to something else. The garlic knots while we were waiting were delicious. I loved the chicken parm and he ate every bite... Not your ordinary Italian. Try the Risotto balls appetizer. The service was excellent and we will definitely come back here. The lasagna is fantastic!

I had a business dinner at Gravy last night which was disappointing. I ordered almonds to snack on with pre- dinner drinks. I have never received a portion so small. My colleagues joked that each almond cost 20 cents. The sad thing is that it was probably true! We ordered bruschetta for an appetizer which contained pepper flakes which was... More

Very much enjoyed the kale Caesar with grilled chicken breast. About $10 for lunch, no booze or dessert. Allow 30 minutes. About my ratings: In an effort to compare apples to apples, my ratings are strictly for establishments within thirty minutes travel of each-other. It makes no sense whatsoever to give five stars to a top Paris restaurant or hotel... More

I was craving FRESH pasta and REAL Italian. Not the chain food. not basic spaghetti and meatballs and bleh pizza. I researched a ton of restaurants in the area and I came across this one. Spectacular. From the drinks to the Salami board full of yummy vegetables and meats to FRESH Asparagus Raviolis. wow. so good!!!

Gravy was great. It would be cute fir a date. Right downtown, within walking distance to all the action. We don't eat much pasta, but it was good. I would probably return if friends wanted to go, but maybe not by my own choice.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary, and we were not disappointed. The ambiance was perfect. The risotto balls were to die for. The zuppo soup was great. The kale salad was so refreshing, and the chicken cannelloni was fabulous! My husband loved his meal as well. I will definitely return here again.
