Surprisingly fantastic

I came here just recently after my husband had mentioned it. Being a raleigh native, I had never heard of the place. We got there & the line was spilling out on the sidewalk. It was a 20 min wait. We got lucky, they were mowing through tables though & it was nice outside. We sat down & it took... read more

I've always been on the fence about grits, but their grits made me fall in love "creamy, dreamy grits", spicy bloody marys and a great cup of espresso, excellent biscuits, jam and chicken sausage were also hits!! I'd wait even if there is a line to get a table!!!

One of my favorite places to grab a bite to eat! Cute decor, the tiniest little mugs for coffee, a friendly staff and the Heavenly French Toast is A MUST! Top 5 in the best things I've ever ate!!

northerner here, not sure I'd like a place that featured grits so much but gave it a try. LOVE the Hollywood omelet and the biscuits. Friendly service and willing to customize orders as my husband is incapable of ordering anything as written on the menu. Our son got an egg scramble with collard greens which he devoured. I'd be there... More

For a Celiac (autoimmune disease dealing with wheat/gluten/barley/rye) I did notice the GF (gluten free) markings on the menu. I told the server my issue and she said to choose one with GF but that was the extent of her help. I ordered The Piedmont omelette and was under amused by the lack of cheese, and taste. It was pretty... More

My mom, husband, and I came for breakfast today. We had read all the great reviews on here and decided to check it out. It was late morning and the place was packed. We waited about 10 minutes for a table. Our server was nice enough and got our drinks and order quickly. My mom had the egg nog pancakes.... More

With a name like this, the biscuits really should be extraordinary. We were all less than impressed. The rest of the food was good, not amazing.

We were greeted by incredibly nice, friendly and cheery staff. Our waitress was even nicer and offered up her favorites for breakfast, which ended up being excellent suggestions. The gingerbread pancakes are amazing and the adult hot chocolate is a must. We were very very pleased by the service, the great laid back atmosphere (dogs were welcome in the outdoor... More

They have such an eclectic menu - interesting combinations of food - and the biscuits, of course, are delicious and they are serve them almost immediately after you place your order. Reasonably priced. AND they have a full service bar!
