I've eaten several times at the Flying Biscuit, most recently for lunch. The menu offers many choices including breakfast which is served all day. Everything I've had has been great. I recently tried the turkey hash with eggs and potatoes -- it was really flavorful -- and of course I got a biscuit with wonderful preserves. Sometimes the service is... More

We reconnected with a friend in town here. I wanted to show her a good Southern breakfast. We were there at 9 AM on a Saturday and had no problem being seated. I would say all of our meals were good, but honestly, I found the biscuits were disappointing and I felt that is one thing that should be top... More

We used a groupon and it was great. The oven fried chicken sandwich was one of the best I have had. The sweet potato fries were crispy and seasoned well with a ruffle cut. They even gave us a sample of the grits and they are some of the best I have ever had. We will be back for breakfast.

Friendliest wait staff I have seen in a long time. It definitely has that forced fun chain restaurant type of feel to it with hipsters everywhere. I'm not much for getting eggs at a restaurant but this place has one menu all day. I got my baked fried chicken sandwich at 9:30 am while one of my friends had a... More

Do you like good biscuits and grits? If so, this is a delightful restaurant. Breakfasts (country style - but not limited to that) available all day. Lunch and dinner menus are very good with the emphasis on biscuits, bacon/sausage, and, of course, grits! Omit the bacon/sausage and there are a lot of pescatarian and vegetarian choices. Everything is done nicely,... More

We went there for brunch today and we thought is was just okay. My son said right away that he makes a better omelette and my husband's eggs were not cooked the way he ordered them (they were too runny). My salad was just average - and a bit pricey for what I got. And the potatoes that came with... More

Dog friendly covered patio; friendly, efficient service; great food; reasonable prices. Couldn't ask for much more than that. Had a late breakfast and was totally happy, as evidenced by the clean plate and bowl. Their grits are the bomb: tiny bits of cheese and heavy cream means they are not for the dieting set but for me they were worth... More

Went to this restaurant by recommendations from a hotel employee. Arrived and sat outside in the patio area. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, however the food was a big disappointment. I ordered the eggs (over easy) with bacon and grits. The eggs were cooked well, but the bacon was soggy, greasy, and not cooked at each end. Sent the... More

Be prepared to wait but this place serves a fabulous brunch. Next time I will split an entree though because portions are huge. They start you off with homemade biscuits and jam, wonderful. I don't eat meat and there were at least eight entrees that I wanted to order. Will definitely return but will shoot for earlier breakfast.

I had the club wrap with side salad. The wrap was dry and didn't have a lot of flavor. I sampled the grits and omelet my aunt ordered and it was tasty. The wrap could use a re-vamp. I would go again and order differently. Service was excellent. Price was reasonable for location.
