Yum!!

Nice atmosphere and really tasty food, you can't go wrong here especially if you like sushi. Order the Korean BBQ, it's fun and delicious. Once the people sitting next to you see and smell it, they'll be asking what you ordered!

Every time I am in downtown Raleigh I come to eat here. I love the atmosphere, service, and the menu. It is very fresh and extremely appetizing.

I ate at the bar and had fantastic service. The sushi tasted extremely fresh as did the seaweed salad. There were a number of inventive rolls and a very broad menu, including ramen. The wine, beer and spirits options are also diverse. I will definitely return!

Brought my wife here for date night. Atmosphere and wait staff was excellent. We shared 3 sushi rolls, all of which were great. Definitely try the fresh wasabi options. Save room for dessert and choose on of their cheesecake options. Good variety of cocktails also. We will definitely go back.

I went here with my husband and a large group of our friends on a Saturday night. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Service was on the slow side, but that's understandable for a group of over a dozen people. I would describe the atmosphere as trendy, but not pretentious. Be aware that both drinks and food... Downtown location near the Capitol. Convenient to walk if staying nearby downtown. Creative sushi menu with a good variety. Full saki menu with quality choices. A bit pricier probably due to the location but good quality

Normally don't travel to Raleigh but Sono was a pleasant surprise. The specialty rolls were very good - Angry Tuna and Hamachi Jalapeño. VIP was not as good. We considered the 5 and 7 course chef choice but a la carte seemed like a better deal.

We loved it! Sat in the bar area, ordered dumplings. Some the best we've had, not too heavy, filling great. The pork buns were insanely good. Impeccable. We also got a Japanese noodle dish, reminded us of our visit to Hong Kong. Although familiar with Chinese_haha_ seemed very authentic to that region. Service very pleasant. Highly suggest.

The sushi here is AMAZING! Came here off of the recommendation of a friend, and we are definitely glad we did! With amazing rolls from basics to their own creations like the 'screaming o', 'angry tuna', 'red bull' and many more-if you are a sushi lover you NEED to check this out! I have had sushi all over from Tokyo... More

So, I got a hankering for sushi in all places Raleigh. I looked and found one a couple of blocks from my hotel. At first I thought, nothing good can come from this... But at a loss for other options, I gave it a try. Boy was I in for a surprise (a great one!) The only other places I... More
