Went with a business group. They will not seat until all in party arrive. This was odd and reasoning was poor as we would have started spending money. Once seated the staff experience improved. The food was really good, I am very picky and it was some of the best BBQ I have ever had. I really like the eastern Carolina bbq sauce. The brisket and ribs were awesome, well done!

July of 2014 I adopted a pescetarian/vegetarian diet and lifestyle, two colleagues I was in town with wished to get some local pit BBQ... it was difficult for me because I'm not a meat hater, just given it up, and the smells and sights here were all mouth watering!! I was pleasantly surprised to be able to dine on a... More

The atmosphere was great. Especially after we left the bar, the bartenders were harsh and rude but, our waiters during our meal were great!

By far one of our favorite restaurants in the Triangle! Visited multiple times - birthday celebration, dinner with friends, romantic date night - EVERY experience was fantastic!!! Friendly staff, quick turn around from ordering food to it being brought to the table, delicious food with great portion sizes (enough to bring some home for the next day) - all around... More

Service was weak- food not thar great either. Maybe if you'd never had BBQ at all? If you are going to pay so much you should at least get good service. I'm really tired of the poor service at downtown hotspots. Hipster wait staff and no drink refills at the bar.

My family loves the Pit, both of my children had their High School graduation lunch/dinners there!! They were very accommodating, and they have great BBQ and delicious fried chicken! Also, have a great beer selection.

Food was great. Service was quite acceptable. Area is a bit noisy, owing to the hard surfaces in the restaurant, but it's easy to have a great time with friends/family.

Excellent BBQ in a very casual environment. A Raleigh stapl. They have been smoking the best pork for years. We have used them for catering too.

Ordered the meatloaf with Mac and cheese and green beans.. YUMMM! My boyfriend ordered the brisket, candied yams, and collard greens. The food was fast, hot and delicious. I could eat that Mac and cheese everyday! Parking was easy too but they offer free valet if needed. I am not from the area but I noticed "the pit" name several... More
