Highly recommended by our hotel staff. My niece called in for a reservation. Wait is always about 2-3 hours according to the hostess. Food was good, I had pulled pork(good) & brisket(not as good), excellent kale side dish. Every one loved their dishes. Total for four plates, two appetizers, and 4 waters was 113.00.

We were told that the wait would be an hour or 90 minutes, this on a Saturday afternoon at 2PM. We figured it must be a good place if the wait was so long. We walked over to the chocolate factory across the street, which is a great place to watch the making of confectioners, then we went to a... More

This slightly upscale BBQ joint is a must for our gang on every visit to Raleigh. Their 'Que (pork, beef, & chicken) is excellent and they fry up some of the moistest fried chicken you've ever put in your mouth. The portions are huge. The sides are delectable Southern traditions along with some newer options. There are no charges for... More

We had the pimento cheese appetizer, brisket and baby back ribs. All were superb and so was the Brunswick stew. Service is attentive and prompt, the atmosphere is vibrant and there is free valet parking available. Do not miss this restaurant; we loved it.

I went to the restaurant with my family and we had a really pleasant time. If you like BBQ, this is a good place to go. All the entrees were good (pork, chicken,...) and my daughter's burger was also really good. Everything in a nice ambiance and with good service. Ideal for families with Children aiming american food!

We stopped by for lunch on the weekend, even though the line was long, the wait was actually not bad. The staff was excellent and the atmosphere is fun. The pulled pork was delish, as was the ribs and meatloaf too! And as for appetizers, the pumpkin skillet cornbread is great! A must to visit and enjoy when you are... More

Stopped by while visiting my daughter last week. Good BBQ selection with plenty of sides to choose from. The onion rings were a bit doughy and the dipping sauce was not to my liking (would have preferred an unadulterated ranch dressing). A bit noisy but a fun place to eat.

We stopped at The Pit for lunch on a recent visit to the Raleigh area. Best NC style BBQ ever!. The wait staff was friendly and efficient and our food was fresh and tasty. We will return when we are in the area.
