Having numerous and serious health problems, especially walking, I did not expect to enjoy as I did. We had a family get-together with 14 members. Each one of us from the oldest (77-me) to our youngest, (Landy 8 and Faye 10). Everything was at the top;hospitality, care, protection, highly qualified staff and excellent + food. Please accept our appreciation for... More

My family and I were looking for a little get away over the Memorial weekend...little did we know when we "stumbled" along your website... We were having such an awesome time.....The cabin we stayed at was just what we were looking for and it sure beats pooping a tent late at night :-), but yet we had the feel of... More

What a surprise to discover such fine dining in Plumtree. Had the (fresh, locally raised) trout lemon pepper special, with a stacked potatoe/turnip/beet delight and it was perfection. Their inhouse IPA was the perfect touch with this delightful meal. The chocolate mouse was deeply rich. Glad I'd hiked to the top of Linville Falls earlier! The staff are lovely and... More

We arrived at the Toe River Lodge on Friday 05/24...upon getting there we were quickly blessed to meet Eedie and Will (sorry if the spelling isn't correct). We headed to the Brewery to taste a few beers! The Nut Brown Ale was my favorite but the IPA was very delicious as well! Our YURT was 1 mileish from the Lodge... More

We really enjoyed this past weekend at the lodge. We were delighted that we had snow which just enhanced the experience. Always felt welcomed and appreciated as guests. The family does an amazing job to make you feel at home. The food was spectacular and enjoyed the wine and beer tastings. Met some great people and was a bit sad... More

We would have never found if we did not know some local folks. The food was good, but not outstanding. Service was kind of hit and miss. No problem serving ourselves, but table service for drinks was not very good. The staff seems to have a good time talking to each other?

As a professional brewer, I thought it necessary to stop by with my girlfriend for lunch and a couple of beers. Will and his wife (sorry I didn't catch her name) people you'd love to have a life long friends. They were very open, friendly and accommodating. We were seated upstairs by a window where we ordered a stout and... More

To begin with we made reservations the week before our trip and the women on the phone was very nice, and everyone looked forward to staying there. After settling in, the owner deliberately started an argument with us. We left due to his sheer ignorance and rude behavior.

Tucked in a small valley in the mountains of North Carolina lies the Toe River Lodge B&B where the service is impeccable, the food scrumptious and where you'll find one of the most relaxing getaways around. Award winning dining, their very own winery and brewery, swimming pool and right on the river for fishing! Just a short drive to the... More

First, off I'm writing this review one year later, shame on me! We stayed November 4-6, 2011. My husband and I were invited to a wedding being held at the banquet room at the Toe River Lodge in Plumtree, NC the first weekend in November. First, we'd never heard of Plumtree, even having lived in NC for many years and... More
