Very elegant and relaxed dining experience. The food was very good and the service was helpful and attentive. The preorder chocolate souflee was wonderful and definitely to share.

Oh my god. Never have I ever in my life (I am not the least pretentious. Nor have I ever left review anywhere in my life. I am salt of the earth Everyman who works hard for his money. That being said, never anywhere have I been verbally degraded by a waiter and disrespected as a patron than at the... More

What was described by the hotel concierge as " romantic dining" was more "rushed and unfriendly." The food was okay, but more expensive that the quality indicated. Our head waiter was brisk and efficient, but not helpful in menu selections or adding to the experience. The young man who filled our water glasses, Darryl, was more polite and welcoming than... I was at 1895 for a big group meal so I didn't expect the food to be a little less interesting. But it was delicious and wonderfully different. They also accommodated my gluten free diet even with the hd's we had before dinner.

1895 Room was the highlight of our weekend at Pinehurst. Friends from New York joined us for the weekend. We were all charmed by the warm ambience of the dining room. Everything on the menu was tempting and many of the entrees were available as half orders. One of our party has a food allergy and our server, when hearing... More

Great service and food was above average. Fairly high prices for the quality. I probably would not go back if I had a choice. I had chicken and friend had steak.

One of the best meals and best service. Traci was amazing and helped make our experience very enjoyable. From the steak to dessert everything was top notch. The atmosphere and service made for a great golf vacation for my uncle and I visiting from Seattle. We will be back!

The 1895, located in the historic Holly Inn in the Village of Pinehurst, is exceptional in every way. The service is immaculate, the food is beautifully prepared, and the setting is stylish and classy. It is certainly more pricey than other options in the Village but, in this case, you get what you pay for. It is certainly the best... More

We liked the food here better than the Carolina Room. Much more modern and interesting. We ordered great crab soup and a very nice pasta. Staff was swell, if a little too attentive - there were 3 people asking us if everything was OK every 5 minutes. Will definitely eat here next time I visit.

Our entire experience at 1895 Grille was absolutely incredible. We actually started out with reservations at the Carolina Dining Room but thanks to a very delightful employee at the Ryder Cup lounge we had our reservations changed to enjoy the 1895 Grille. We were here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday when the woman who served us our cocktails gave us... More
