I think this restaurant might want to change its name - Thai food is certainly not their strong point. My pad thai tasted like a bottle of ketchup had been dumped over it and my husbands meal was bland. I noticed the other patrons around us were ordering sushi, so maybe they are better at that. The couple behind us... More

We had been several years ago and recalled liking it. This time it was just average. I had a stir fry dish of shrimp, onions, peppers, mushrooms that was supposed to be in a spice I can't remember (which tells you how memorable it was), and my wife had a curry dish that was way too soupy, and just average.... Thai Basil is one of the best Thai food restaurants that I've ever had the pleasure of dining at! The food is fresh, flavorful and made to order. The portions are good-sized and prices are within what you would expect from a Thai restaurant. The staff, who are a family that owns the restaurant, are friendly, attentive and make dining... More

Thai Basil provides good Thai food in a casual atmosphere in Pinehurst, NC. I stopped at the restaurant while in the area and looking for a place to eat. The place was not too large but seemed to have enough space for the number of people present. There was a main dining room area as well as a sushi bar... More

Outstanding Pad Thai, huge portion came with soup and a salad. My husband had hibachi chicken which he really liked and our friend had hibachi vegetables. Everything was fresh, the service was very good and our meals were wonderful. We live nearby and don't go to Thai Basil nearly enough. Friends suggested we go recently and after our meal we... More

Best Chinese/Thai in area. Family owners are chef, hostess, staff. Excellent, friendly staff. Very helpful with menu - will advise if choice is spicy. Everything on menu is authentic, prepared to order. Even picky eaters will find something on menu to enjoy. Family friendly. Great value. . ,

Food is great, fresh and attractive. Owners are wonderful and friendly. This is a weekly staple for our family with everyone having a favorite. I've eaten sushi all over the country and internationally and Michael and his team create some of the best sushi I've ever eaten.

We called in a to go order and after the fifth time calling we finally got an answer and we placed our very expensive order and were told it would be twice as long because they had a party in there. I don't care if you have a party in there, when I spend nearly 200 dollars in there I... More

I'm some who's traveled extensively in SE Asia. I cook very good Thai food at home. I'd eaten here before when visiting my parents in Pinehurst and the food was passable. So imagine my surprise when we ordered the chicken with Thai basil only to find out that there was not a single leaf of Thai basil in this classic,... More

Thai Basil is our favorite Thai restaurant in Pinehurst. Although we eat in sometimes, more often than not; we just go there for take out. I love their chicken pad thai!
